    A recommendation that did not disappoint. An open kitchen with enthusiastic staff, delicious food & wine. Only has 22 covers so would suggest you book ahead as while we were there many were turned away. Only thing that you might find as a negative are the tables are very close together but we were happy and all diners seemed to enjoy the interaction across tables.

    A very nice and cozy little restaurant. Good for meeting with friends and colleagues! The presentation of the food is divine and the quality too. The dishes are very varied and all look delicious.

    Having just arrived in Paris from California, on our second day, we found Les Frangins in SoPi area of the 9th arrondisement and stopped in for lunch. The plat du jour was a hamburger (although all of the al a carte items were French) and that's what we both ordered. It was a gourmet burger with spices laced throughout., fresh lettuce and tomato, and picked vegetables. All on a brioche-like toasted sesame bun. When I saw the chef giving me his "Sacre Bleu!" glance, I knew adding ketchup to his creation was gilding the lily, so I refrained and was very happy I did. Their dinner menu is creative and varied, with emphasis on quality ingredients, bringing a fresh approach to French cuisine. The owner, Julian, was very friendly and we learned the restaurant had only been opened for 2 weeks. Both the owner and the chef, Aymeric, have worked at various restaurants on the Left Bank and their experience is evident in the hospitality and cuisine. We think it's going to be a winner, given quality and value.
