Very nice simple french dishes, rather questionable service (took the staff 25 minutes to just ask us what we would like to drink, wrong servings, ordered drinks never were served, etc.)

This is a lovely bistro right in the center of Nice. I ordered the duck for dinner. It is good but nothing special. For dessert I had fig tiramisu with ginger. The mix doesn't really work and the taste was not my favorite. Overall speaking this dining experience is fine but nothing impressive. I will still recommend it for its reasonable price, average food quality, and nice location.

Food and service were both excellent. My husband had cod and I had risotto - both were beautiful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

we enjoyed a lovely evening at this restaurant. Very good quality - price balance. Young but attentive service. We tried the beignet fleur courgette, artichaut salad and the pouvron a l'huile. All starters were delicious. As main we had the magret de canard with figs and foie de canard. All perfect "rosé". And also the veau roti as a carparcio was apreciated. We sure will come back ad this place is open on sunday.

It might be the best cuisine in Nice. Definitely not a touristic restaurant but extremely welcoming. I would place it on top of my list of restaurants to go to in Nice

Inside the restaurant looks good, quiet and modern. The starter wasn't so expecially, instead the main courses were very good! Personally i didn't like the dessert, a chocolate mousse too sweet! The service was not so good, they forgot our liqueur... In all it was good.

I'm so happy that we came here on our last night in France.
We have had some fantastic food on our long journey throughout the country, where we have eaten at some of the most popular restaurants but Bistrot Chaud-Vin was our favourite!
1. Booking in online was so easy, I've found it difficult to book at restaurants without this option with very little French.
2. As soon as we walked in we were welcome with open arms from all staff. The service was far above anywhere else I have been in France and abroad. The menu was bought to us on a chalk board and we were talked through every option. Our wine glasses were always topped up when we were running low, which personally I loved!
Plus they spoke English which was fantastic and made my life easy.
3. It was very clean and presentable.
4. The food and wine was a class above anywhere I've eaten. Plus it was so well priced, in total I believe we payed around 90 euros for 3 courses and a beautiful bottle of Blanc.
I hope this helps your choice of restaurant.
