Gypsy Night every Tuesday of the summer at the Bistro Mogador. Much busier than usual with extra tables put out for the occasion. We arrived a bit later than expected but the wonderful group was still playing when we left, taking up spots between tables to play directly to couples and families, or under the tree by the bar and pulling guests to to dance before leading everyone (or as many as possible) into the kitchens to serenade the cooks ! As ever the food, wine (from the chateau itself), service and setting were perfect and made even more magical with the added music. Will be back next summer !

The ambiance of the whole place is fantastic! The beatiful entrance, immaculate garden, the spirit of the place! Nevertheless you would expect a bit more interesting and more "french" cuisine when you arrive to such a beatiful place almost on the middle of nowhere. The choice of main dishes was limited to 4 , one of which "gratin dauphinois" was finished even though only 3 tables were taken. We had tartare, lamb stew and cod fillet. We found it a bit overpriced as we appreciate a lot the french cuisine. The kids menu was limited to nuggets and potatos plus ice cream nicely served. In general: a beatiful place to visiti if you are in the area for a romantoc trip! Not so much for the Gourmand
