9/10Food was fantastic, tried the southern Indian dish, Dosa’s for the first time. Really lovely. Decor a bit blue & it was very cold the night we were in

7.5/10I was a bit dubious when I saw the restaurant- it wasn’t quite what I was expecting in terms of aesthetics or style - more casual that chic. The menu was extensive, maybe too much choice (!) We had some popadoms to start with chutneys- they were stale and soft and chutney too runny so not great start. We then had onion bhajis and pakora to start- both very spicy, I liked but my partner found it too much. Similar story with mains- my veggie main was an aubergine dish which I liked with saffron rice and a plain nann. My partner had a butter chicken dish but he found it way too spicy. The manager was very attentive and immediately offered to prepare a milder version for him, which was very considerate. He had the second version which he enjoyed better. Overall, an okay experience and I enjoyed veggie options but probably spicier than many Irish palates prefer so those less adventurous need to advise waiter to get a milder dish. But staff were lovely and helpful and kind.

9.5/10Great food, reasonably priced, staff helpful and attentive. Even booked a Cab for us that was there within 2 minutes, would recommend if you visit Belfast.

7.5/10The staff and the food were lovely. Sadly it was very overpriced.. I mean £18 for a main course which only consisted of the meat & sauce, but did not include rice or anything else. That was quite shocking 😳 However, this seems to be ‘power for the course’ in Belfast at present… and has only compounded our belief that it is not worth eating out any more!

6.5/10Friendly service in basic environment, but there is no hiding that the food was not great. The naan bread was overly salty and the curry lacking any real zing.

9.5/10We chose Bites of India Botanic because they do South India food - specifically dosas. Appeared to be a ‘family’ restaurant with a warm welcome. The food was very good - the dosas were excellent. By the time we left, most of the customers were clearly S Asian family groups. That has to be a recommendation! I wish we could get this service and food in Manchester…
