Looked very nice and the service was good. However, we ordered hamburgers for the children. When they arrived at the table they were black as charcoal, totally inedible, both the beef patty and bread! One we sent out, the second we scraped down to half size. However, when we got the new hamburger it was also burnt and still had to be scraped down to make it edible. Absolutely shocking experience, how can anyone serve burnt food, especially for children!

The service was accommodating and friendly. I couldn't fault the food we were served. My only minor gripe was the size of the mushy peas serving. In a nice setting it isn't overly expensive either.

We asked for a window table when we booked as this is by the river but were wedged into a tiny dark corner by the toilets. Menu is limited and the vegan chilli I wanted was not available. I had the sea bream which was ok but the boiled potatoes were very spongy. My colleague had fish and chips with a stodgy batter. I wouldn’t book again.

We made a reservation for 8 people when there the table was set only for 7 in a tight space , they added a chair but the space was tight. There was a strong smell of urine due to the position being next to a toilet. The food was average pub food , nothing special and possible bland. The service was ok, but for the prices they have you do expect a bit more. The bill was quite expensive considering all the above and the service charge is not optional. This place used to be much better, now quality went down but remains expensive, I’m not sure I’ll be back.
