Our first experience here, and it is lovely, the setting is great, and only a few more touches and it would be perfect, I.e. cushions on the chairs, perhaps a candle or two on the table. The food was really interesting and tasty. Lovely to have a vegan choice, I am not vegetarian but had the lentil and spinach curry which was delicious. The wines are quite interesting, and worth a go too. Owner came around and spoke to people which was a nice touch, probably the only issue was a seemingly common one all over, in that every restaurant we go to there are not enough staff, one person doing almost everything, which means a lot of waiting around! Still the food was worth the wait. We will go back.

This boutique hotel restaurant is lovely. Set amongst vineyards. Locally grown food. If your in a rush don’t come. If your not, you will have a eat chilled time. The food is good. Needs some work. Our potatoes weren’t cooked all the way. They apologized and didn’t charge. The homemade wine/beer is good as well :-) will def return!!!!. Lovely owners & staff

This a great place to visit when in Portugal. Outstanding wines and food. Book a stay in the Inn and make it a fabulous weekend. Take a stroll around this outstanding property. Visitduring grape harvest and stomp some grapes.

You could not imagine a more idyllic and picturesque dinner setting. We enjoyed a gourmet 5 course meal overlooking a perfect vineyard. The food was was exquisite. Each course prepared with organic, locally sourced ingredients- which you could taste. The presentation was detailed and the execution was flawless. The wine was excellently pared with the dishes. The ambiance was second to none. This visit made our trip to Portugal- and we have extensive wine and dining experience!

We dined at BonJardim for our one year anniversary of living in Portugal. It is a beautiful location and ambiance with lovely Dutch hosts/owners. When i booked i had the option of picking the "mystery dinner" or a la carte. I chose the a la carte option, but at the restaurant there was no option for a la carte- so mystery dinner it was! Also when I booked I had the option to leave a message for the restaurant about food sensitivities. I have a severe gluten intolerance and I let the restaurant know in advance as I always do. Since this is a farm to table restaurant, I felt that it would be not a problem. They didn't check the reservations messages, so I had to tell them after the bread was served and instead was served cold rice cakes wrapped in a paper napkin, while my partner had freshly baked bread. Ok. Not a big deal, I ate them because I was really hungry. The mystery dinner had some nice courses, (some a bit on the small side), and for the main meat dish, they served me flat bread on my plate. I had to ask if it was gluten free- and no it was not and they forgot again. So i had to remove it off my plate and was left with even less food. A bit disappointing. They seemed busy, and some courses you got an explanation of what you were eating, and some we were challenged to "guess" what it was- and some just had no explanation. When you have food intolerances, it feels like driving blind down a mountain road. I wanted to trust that they wouldn't serve me food with hidden ingredients, but the fact that they kept serving me gluten was worrisome and indeed, I had some stomach issues last night and today which make me very uncomfortable and sad to leave less than a perfect review. They did make me a special dessert with whipped cream (? again i wasn't told) and berries which was very simple and nice way to end the meal. The wine flight was lovely for 15 Euro per person, all of the wines were made on the farm and very tasteful. I would recommend this restaurant for people with smaller appetites and no food sensitivities- or call in advance to confirm and remind them that you need special measures. Everything was very nice, but not amazing and i couldn't really relax and feel a lot of trust in the food when details kept being overlooked.

Uma bela surpresa, ambiente muito bonito numa quinta muito gira, jantamos junto a uma vinha com uma noite espetacular, quanto à comida, 5 pratos surpresa que foram todos muito bons e diferentes acompanhados com diferentes vinhos produzidos na quinta pelos proprietários que sao muito simpáticos. Experiência a repetir caso passe novamente por este local. TOP.

We had a wonderful experience at Bonjardim Boutique restaurant. The food and wine was sublime and all sourced from their own farm/Quinta. The service and presentation was also exceptional - the host and chef took time to explain each course in detail, whilst we gazed across the vineyards. . We definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. It’s not just a meal it’s an experience!

Unique! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we couldn't had better. Amazing experience. Starting with the view and ambience, through food and great wine and finishing with the best... The kindness and great mood of Hubertus! A must try!

The most amazing experience. The food was exceptional and the choice of wines to accompany the food were beautiful. All put together by the most attentive and welcoming of hosts. We will look forward to our next visit and will make it very soon we can honestly say it has been the best dining experience we have had in Portugal and we’ve lived here for 3 years!! A must for anyone who is enjoying this beautiful region.
