M husband and I try to come down to Melbourne and attend the Bouvier Bar. We love it the food is great service the same cocktails lovely. Can’t say a bad thing????

This restaurant provides a French ambience of all proportions. The service was impeccable, so impressive in fact, I would return to look forward to this quality of presentation again. The drinks were expensive for no particular reason which is disappointing. The cuisine is superb and if not for the pricey beverages I would return again.

Great food and great service. We had to wait for our main course as there was a function on, but overall very good. This was a bar and therefore louder than our experience at La Luna, their sister restaurant. Both places are well worth visiting though.

Can not put into words how amazing our experience was at this restaurant. The food was exceptional, as was the service… And let’s not forget the cocktails! We would highly recommend every food lover to dine at this fabulous restaurant.

Great vibe, cosy and chilled accompanied by great mood music Service was second to, expert advice not overwhelming but attentive st the same time. The good was not over complicated but amazing in flavour construction and presentation,would definitely recommend and return.

A warm welcome on a cold rainy night was wonderful, and as soon as we were seated, drink orders were taken, and we were settled in for a great evening. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food dishes came at suitable intervals, not to close together, or spaced too far. The food was fabulous. We shared 3 small entree dishes, calamari, deep fried mozzarella, and the crispy pigs ears! All delicious! We had aged fillet mignon and char grilled broccolini for main… cooked to perfection, and completely sumptuous. Truly delightful. My partner enjoyed the cheesecake for dessert before we rolled home. Thank you again for a wonderful meal!????????❤️

Lovely brasserie style bar and good menu. The food and drinks were great, just disappointing we had to wait over an hour for our mains. Good place for a drink/snack but be prepared to wait.

Great place for a cocktail, a drink, a snack or something a little more substantial. one small thing. didn't seem to give you a serviette with your drink, nor with your meal. Everything else top shelf. Staff really attentive, and yes I probably could have asked for a napkin etc, but should you have to?

Was welcomed enthusiastically, but that was about it. It took about 20 minutes to catch someone's eye to order a drink and food about the same amount of time to receive it. Saw the staff chatting to other guests ( probably regulars) while we waited and waited. We probably stayed an hour and decided to spend our money elsewhere., unfortunately the staff seemed to be self absorbed. This place came highly recommended and we traveled in excess of 2 hours to get there from northern Victoria. So very disappointed. I can see how the locals & regulars enjoy it, but from out of towners who were really looking forward to the experience it was seriously lack lustre????. We won’t be back. I’m truely sorry our money wasn’t worth your time. Please don’t blame Covid.

We had a fantastic night at Bouvier Bar, brilliant food and delicious drinks served by lovely staff. We asked them to surprise us with a cocktail to suit our meal and they did not disappoint, what a wonderful experience. Highly recommend

Did not disappoint! Fantastic selection of drinks. The food was faultless - the pork dumplings and crispy Korean chicken!! The staff were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Definitely going back!

A local place that I was yet to try, now I have no idea why I haven't been here sooner! Amazing food at amazingly affordable prices. Also the sommelier (I didn't catch his name) was spot on with our wine choice after describing the varietals we like. We will definitely be back again!

Food was amazing. I could have been sitting in a cocktail bar in NYC. Cocktails were sublime and everything was delicious. We shared the croquettes, sardines, dumplings, shiitake and tofu spring rolls. Then shared the Malaysian beef curry and steak frites. Oh and had to have dessert. Brownie and creme brûlée. Perfect place for a date or a night out with friends. Service was impeccable. Loved it

Great service from "That Bloke" aka Bruce and his staff. Food was top notch (bacon croquttes, Malaysian beef curry, tiramisu and creme brulee were the standouts) and cocktails were expertly mixed. Will definitely be back.
