It’s a regular tourist trap. Food: T E R R I B L E... maybe fish & chips was the least horrible thing we had. Music was really bad! Good thing was we had a laught about it. The only thing we can not say a bad thing about is our waiter. He was nice!
Started with Scottish Collins, which is my favorite drink anywhere in Antwerp so far. Homemade bread came out, which was lovely. This is one of my spouse's favorite spots in town, so dinner seemed to be going great. Then my bisque came out, it had a strong and less than pleasant taste, I thought a little cream may have been what it needed to give a great improvement. Then the turbot came out, it looked unappealing, I still hoped it would taste amazing. Even though I was careful about bones, I ended up with quite a few and the vegetables were so chewy and stringy, I was never sure if I was eating a vegetable or another bone? Even my spouse agreed the dish did not look very nice and he loves this restaurant. Overall very sad meal.Brasserie Appelmans
