Excellent service all round. It’s the small things that matter such as a caraf with water on the table which is replaced when empty without having to ask for it! The food was lovely and well presented in a cosy welcoming environment.

Food was very good. Enjoyed the presentation and the variety compared with normal restaurants in the area. Our waiter, Jeroen, was personable and overall great, but the food took a long time. Outside back patio is a nice, gezellig area for a group.

We had a great time at Brasserie Midi. The personnel was very accomodating; the service was very polite without being cold. The 4-course menu was very tasty and elaborate, and the side dishes as well.

One week ago my friends and I were having late lunch at Brasserie Midi. Based on the reviews that we read, we thought we are up for a really nice lunch - which turned out to be almost a disaster and certainly an unforgettable one! We were with 7 people, 4 of which ordered salads (3 chicken salads and 1 with grilled vegetables), 1 chicken club sandwich and 2 midi burgers. Among us we had a pregnant lady, which indicates that you cannot serve raw food, or at least underdone, especially to her! Guess what?! when our food arrives, 3 chicken salads are served with raw chicken - which you can see is RAW as well as the chicken club sandwich for the pregnant lady!!! i understand when you serve beef medium rare, that is very normal and that's what people are asking for, but raw chicken???!!! an average house-wife, a normal cook knows that you cannot serve raw chicken, but obviously not the chef from Midi! Very disappointing! Funny enough, the waitress that has been serving those salads did not even see it either, otherwise I would expect her to spot it also, but she did not. The burgers were nice, and the vegetable salad seems to be ok, until later a friend of mine has found “hair” in it – another thing which is a “no-no”. Anyways, let’s get back to the raw chicken. When all food was on the table, we asked the waitress to take those chicken salads and the sandwich back to the kitchen as they were way underdone, which is what she did – without apologizing, nice service?! Just to make sure, another friend of mine went to the chef to make sure he changes the entire salad and not just the chicken, as obviously the entire salad is contaminated now. At first, the chef was not sure what she wanted, until she explained that he cannot serve the same salad – he needed to make it all from scratch. It shows how low the standards are from the chef, as he is not doing it himself – the customer needs to tell you how to solve the issue. In a short while, all chicken salads were served again with a char-grilled chicken as well as the sandwich, which was dry this time – but at least it was not raw, thanks for that! We decided not to complain this time, as understand that the chef might be already stressed by this situation, and that is when my friend finds “hair” in her vegetable salad and another hair in the chicken salad, seriously?! it really was a turn-off, especially after the first incident. After this experience, we decided that desert might be also with an element of surprise, which is why we quietly paid for our food – let them know that we found hair in the salads, where chef was not really apologetic and rather surprised. Before leaving, we were offered coffee and tea on the house, with an apology from the second waiter, but we honestly mentioned that we don’t dare any more after the food that we just had. Luckily no one was sick after this meal and I really hope that we are the last group of people who had to experience such drama at Brasserie Midi.

The complaints you had about our food and hospitality might have been handled differently.

Having said that, I can assure you that we have an experienced chef and kitchen/service staff, a team wich is always trying to make our guests feel at home and serve them great food.

At Brasserie Midi we always try to improve on our food and hospitality. By telling us your experiences good ánd bad you help us to do that.
