8/10Casual cafe. Friendly staff. Fresh baked goods straight from upstairs bakery. Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday 1pm. Could just chill out.

4.5/10Food was nice. Was disappointed in getting charged a big service fee when I felt service was not good at all. Long wait times to order, get water and would not take our food orders until each person had coffees.

8/10The cafe was tucked in a side street off King street and was nice and quiet It was also spacious and relaxing. The food was good and the service friendly.

10/10Congratulations to the staff of Brewtown, it was clear when we arrived that you were all under the pump with a busy cafe while being extremely short staffed. As always the coffee, food and service was outstanding regardless of the tricky situation you were dealing with.

8/10We have not been noticed that only take-away cuisine would be available during Boxing Day despite online resvervation. Cuisine and service were high quality. Will return to enjoy the inner atmosphere.

8.5/10Very nice converted warehouse setting and the waiters were very welcoming. Food was nice though the polenta was not quite crunchy enough

10/10Great food and coffee. The menu was designed to please our entire group of guests. The food portions very generous and the coffee was top notch. The sweets also looked divine...a wide selection available. Great staff, great ambience and although it was a busy saturday morning, it was certainly not too noisy to have conversation. Totally rated

10/10Great Coffee, the staff were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their work, ambience was really nice, bright and clean. The food was delicious and we all just about licked our plates.

3.5/10The cafe was cute inside however the service was horrible. We were served by a man who was very rude and he took so long to even take a drinks order. The menu was very small and expensive. I had a veggie burger and barely had a few bites, was not tasty at all. Also was $18. I could get a big breakfast elsewhere for what was basically a gloried B&E roll. Would not return

5/10Brewtown has been our family go to for a few years now, especially through Covid, with each visit being great. Our children and their partners live in Newtown and it has been the perfect place for a casual catch up. Unfortunately today our experience was not as good. Usually we are greeted with a friendly acknowledgment as regulars, today this wasn't the case. A request for crispy bacon was met with "we don't have time for crispy bacon", as well as another simple request denied. The Public Holiday surcharge of 15%, despite the 2019 reduction of penalty rates, stings too. While we understand staff may be having a bad day, it's not good if this impacts on customer service. So we can only give a 5/10

8/10Good food and great that it's bookable for breakfast. 10 percent surcharge on weekends - fine but seems a bit rich to be charging on takeaway items especially loaves of bread!

9/10Cool spot in Newtown. Nice menu, good food and great ambience. The waitstaff were lovely too. We made a reservation for a table of 6 and got a nice communal table. It was a nice place for breakfast.
