Today I visited for a late lunch. Busy, nearly fully occupied. Usually the food and service is excellent.not today. I ordered a "brooded warm vlees". The taste was excellent, a lovely twist on the classic Dutch bun. However there was something very wrong with the bun it was served on, it was toasted till likwconcreye and shouldn't have been served. When I tried to get the attention of a waiter, this failed a couple of times. I just gave up and only ate the topping, the bun was inedible.when the waitress came to pick up the place I told her about this situation, she concurred the bun was way way too hard, and went on to tell me I should have notified before..... Well, I just gave up, didn't even say I tried a couple of timesbut no-one noticed. No apology was offered for serving inedible bun either. Sad, as the food and service here is usually excellent, if a tiny bit steeply priced.
