We couldn't fault food but the meal was let down by sporadic service by all waiting staff, including management. Glad we checked the bill as the fork offer had not been applied either.

A lovely part of The Bullring. Had lunch there. They made a Pretty basic chicken salad very interesting with choices of vegetables as well as how the grilled chicken was marinated. I’d go back for sure.

Very expensive beer. The meat was “medium rare” but actually over cooked. Overall very tasty however even if it wasn’t medium rare. Great starters too.

We love Browns! And as an M&B Staff member we get to enjoy 33% off which for a place like this is totally worth every penny. We had a lovely secluded table in the corner, the scallops were beautiful and pork belly was really nice. Last time we came we both had steak and mine was melt in the mouth. Food is always good here and our server was the same both times and really lovely. 5* every time Browns! Well done x

A gem of a restaurant. Easy to locate and convenient for all amenities. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. Tables are placed far enough apart to guarantee privacy, with the lighting set just right, allowing for a warm, intimate feel. A varied menu of outstanding cuisine, and a brilliant selection of wines and cocktails, made for a wonderful evening. That was my first time visiting Brown's, but it definitely won't be my last.

Most of our first choices were not available but they allowed us to order them and then come back and say they were unavailable. We ordered the Shepherds Pie and Lamb Rack - not available. Choose the Chicken Escalope - dry and disappointing. They didn’t have about 6 of the white wines we wanted - eventually we went for the Sancerre! We ordered Winter Greens as a side - not available. The table behind wanted olives - not available! The ambience is lovely but the food was extremely disappointing and all the manager kept repeating was they had supply issues! Supply issues! Then they said that our waiter it was his first service - this was not the point if food isn’t available. It was an expensive and poor experience. The lady manager did offer to adjust the bill but this was really just missing the point.

The service and quality of food has really improved since the last time we were there (pre-Covid). Waitress was very helpful and friendly. Only small criticism is that they put us near the door and with so many walk ins from people to see if there was availability- the draft became very unpleasant. Perhaps but a sign at the door to stop this from happening.

The four of us really enjoyed our afternoon tea. The ambience was excellent. The service was good. The standard of food and presentation was very good and it was good valve for money. We would certainly revisit Browns’s for another occasion. We all really like tea and the only thing to make the experience even better would have been not to of had to ask for more actual tea. Saying that when the request was made we were given more tea within a short time. So thank you very much and hope to see you again.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Left feeling special. Will be back and will recommend to our family and friends. We had the afternoon tea with champagne, and G&T. The afternoon tea, esp. the cakes were to die for.

I booked a table and arrived slightly early, welcomed and seated immediately. Drinks order taken a few minutes later and drinks arrived promptly. Good choice on both adults and children’s menu, scallop starter was delicious and my 8 year old also finished all of his prawn cocktail starter. Mains arrived shortly after but not rushed. I had the pork belly, my husband the fish pie and my son tomato pasta, the server suggested a broccoli side which we accepted and was mostly eaten by my son. Dessert was also delicious. Cannot fault service or food.

This restaurant is in a good central location and we were served by helpful staff. The food is ok for the price, although not stand-out. A bit disappointed with the mojitos we ordered - too much ice for our taste.

Very nice restaurant, nice atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We liked the choices on the menu, especially as there was plenty of choice for vegetarians. The set price menu had limited choices especially for vegetarians, so in the end we chose off the main menu. We both chose the mushroom wellington, which was brought out quickly and was delicious. There was not enough gravy, so we both asked for more, but when we got the bill we found we were charged £4.50 each for the additional gravy! I felt this was too much and changed how I felt about going back there. The desserts were quite pricy too, so it was a good job we were quite full after the main course. Service charge is already added to the bill. I always prefer it when I can choose how much I want to give according to the service offered.

One of brums better eateries but the service could be upped a notch. Some things not available at 5pm. Great food and atmosphere....toilets need sorting too tho. Also could do with a door host at the door

We were a party of 9 visiting for a pre-Theatre meal and were attended by Lynne who made us very welcome, delivered great dishes quickly and was super friendly as well as being super efficient. We were all highly satisfied with the food and service and will certainly be coming along again.
