Just perfect, as usual.
Proche de la perfection,
Nice place both for lunches and dinners, one of my favorites in the area ???? Always good kitchen, service and hospitality. Thank you for that and looking forward to come back!
Returned after 10 years and we were happy to find that it was still the original chef/owner in the kitchen. The premises have been renovated and boast an open kitchen and huge terrace. The food undeniably remains one of the best in the region. We wanted to enjoy the warm evening and had a table away from most clients who smoked, which was much appreciated. The terrace is directly across the train station but we were not too bothered by the noise. We will definitely be back.
Excellent repas et service!
I discovered this restaurant thanks to a friend whom I was meeting for a lunch. Really nice place with great outside terrace shielded from sun so even, with 35 degrees, you could enjoy being outside. The welcoming was very nice: staff was aware of my reservation and immediately offered choices for table. Chef coming to check how we like our food. The lunch menu choice of 2 options offered meat or fish. We chose tartare de saumon and it was delicious. Menu actually included a starter (melon with jambon sauce), main (tartare surrounded by fresh vegetables and with frites and toasts for side fish) and a small dessert. Value offer was amazing: the entire lunch menu plus glass of Cote du Provence rose, all for just 28 CHF! Haven’t had that for a long time... I will be back and definitely recommend to explore this gem.
Excellent for a quick business lunch. The 'menu' are a great option for a reasonably priced but quality lunch
A very nice three-course gourmet meal giving great value for money.
I went there with great expectations as I have always enjoyed both the food and service. Sadly on this day , both the service and food were not up to the mark. Despite informing the waitress of dairy allergies she brought a steak with cream sauce to the table . When it was pointed out to her that there was a dairy allergy she took the plate away and the rest of the diners had to wait for the steak to be brought back minus cream sauce . When we asked for a sauce for the filet de perche we waited 15 minutes by which time the filet of perch was cold. Steak mediocre. So was the filet de perch and the plancha de poulpe. Sorry but I won’t be coming back in any hurry
We had dinner here for my wife's birthday as we were pretty excited by the high ratings of this place. Overall we have been pretty disappointed. Except for the entry the main dish was not really great and the price was too high for the quality. The desserts were mediocre.
Starters and main dishes were all well executed for all the 4 of us. However we all were disappointed with the desserts, that’s an area where the chef can improve. Nevertheless we all enjoyed the meal.
Excellent commw d'habitude !
Excellent food and the service was exceptional , friendly and helpful. Will certainly return for their lunch menus.
Excellent dinner in pleasant atmosphere. Buffet de la Gare is an old favorite but previous visits after their move into a new building were disappointing. They have tweaked the lighting and other features to make it a sophisticated yet warm dining experience. The three course Menu Mermoud is a great gourmet meal at a reasonable price.
1) Would be great to have/know the provenance of meat & fish 2) I specifically asked for terrace in the booking (on the open space) and the table we were offered was inside (although we could change) 3) Overall, good place and to be recommended
a step up from the usual "plat du jour". in quality and in price. still good value for money
Always top price/quality ratio.
Really enjoyed the food. Lunch time menu good value.
