Made a booking last minute as it was one of the closest restaurants from where we were driving, which was supposed to offer a 30% discount on food from the a la carte menu. My fish was pretty good, but my partner's pasta was a bit too salty, but we did not complain about it. We also had to ask for the cheese and pepper for his pasta. I started eating without realising that the sauce for the fish was missing. Anyway, a different waitress came with it. We continued eating and asked for the bill as usual. The waiter came while I went to the toilet and upon my return, I checked the bill but it was incorrect. The pasta was given a 30% off but not my fish. I told the waiter it was not right. Straight away, he became agitated and said "no, we press the button for 'la forchette' and everything is automatically done. 'But it's incorrect, the fish did not get a discount". I explained and showed him the receipt. Suddenly, he became extremely defensive, literally implying I did not believe him and told me to go to the screen of his tilt. I told him I believe it's the machine's problem and he said rudely "What do you want me to do?!". Now, THAT was not acceptable. My partner got so embarrassed that he just want to pay and leave, but I refused. It is not the customer's problem when the machine of the restaurant made a mistake. The chef then came out to ask what was the problem. I showed him the receipt and he could see clearly there was a mistake. He then explained that he was the one who accepted the booking last minute and he probably shouldn't and was going to take responsibility and pay out of his own pocket for the discount that did not appear on the receipt. Now, seriously? Can't they simply admit that the machine had a problem, apologize and charge the customer the correct bill without any drama? I have dined in 40 countries and used this application 4 times in the last 3 weeks and this is simply ridiculous. No going back even if you paid me! So disappointed!
