10/10A small place in St.Pierre Bordeaux, spent 12 days here, and after exploring a number of bistros and brasseries in the area, this became our favourite spot. Friendly and welcoming personnel, and the food was exellent.

10/10My wife and I had an enjoyable dinner at Cafe Des Gourmets. She had the lamb shank and I had the duck confit. It was a good atmosphere with couples and groups of friends seated throughout the cafe. Service was good and servers were friendly. Good experience.

10/10A popular restaurant so reservation seemed a good idea. Food and service are good. Only small critique was we had reserved via the Fork and arrived a tiny bit early...18.55. Entering the restaurant we were greeted with the message "we don't open until 19.00" and shown the door It would have been nicer to let us sit at a table for five minutes rather than turn us out into the cold winter night. Returning at 19.10 welcome was warm and an enjoyable meal followed.

10/10Such a fantastic find in Bordeaux. Lovely local food, great service, fair pricing. Truly appreciate this delightful experience. The tuna tartar was best we have ever had. Cheesecake and Crème Brûlée also beyond any expectations. House wine was crisp and delicious.

9/10Booked via The Fork for later that day (Saturday evening) and glad I did as throughout my time there, the restaurant had to turn people away due to no tables. Had the 3 course menu for 24 Euros and came away happy. All the food was good and adequate for the price.

10/10We arrived in Bordeaux from Glasgow and we were really happy with the plat sympa for deux. This dining experience felt like we were being offered hospitality in a pleasant dining room of someone's home.

10/10This is a small but cozy restaurant that proposes French traditional cuisine. The restaurant is next to "la place de la bourse", which proposes the menu of 20 euros (including entrée, main dish and dessert) and kid's menu of 8 euros. When the dishes are not included in the menu, it is between 10 euros and 19 euros. It is really a restaurant that proposes delicious food and the delivery of dishes is satisfactory (in terms of waiting time). We enjoyed our lunch there. Thank you. For those who wish to have meal in this restaurant, remember to book a table.

2/10Couldn’t eat our meal as it was so bad. I got the steak and it tasted so bad think it may have been off. Came on the plate with water all over it. My friend got the duck that had clearly been reheated it was cold in the middle. After not knowing what to do we payed and left. Was gutted as wasn’t a cheap meal

Je pense que ca serait mieux si vous nous aviez signalé le problème sur place. On pourrait s'efforcer de vous satisfaire. En tout cas j'entends votre mécontentement. Je vous informe juste qu'on badigeone nos grillade au jus d'oignons. C 'est peut être ca qui n' était pas à votre goût et que vous a donné le sentiment d'avoir l'eau sur votre plat. Bien à vous

7.5/10Very good value lunch in the heart of Bordeaux. €20 for a three courses menu with foie gras and duck confit is difficult to beat. Don't understand why it's not busier.

8/10If this restaurant were in the USA I would have given it all 5’s. My husband and I had a very nice meal here. All 3 courses were expertly prepared and served by the most competent staff. It is amazing we were able to have such great food at the price of the prix fixe menu. In NYC we would have paid 3 times the price. Do not hesitate to make a reservation.

10/10Very well located (moments from Palais de la Bourse and in the heart of the historical centre) yet in a quiet street, which was very much appreciated as we were able to safely sit outdoors. Fast, competent and pleasant service and delicious food - the 20€ three-dish menu is great value-for-money. We (two people) were asked to move to another table in order to make room for a larger party of 8 people and were generously offered a cup of coffee and a glass of cognac for free.

5/10I read the on-line reviews for Café des Gourmets which were all great and we were really looking forward to having diner at this restaurant. I ordered the duck which others said was good. We both had the gourmet, 3 course fixed price dinner for 25 euros each. The duck was a big disappointment. It was tough. Mike ordered the steak, also very tough. Our scallop starters were good as were the desserts; creme brulee and chocolate souffle but the main meals were defintiely not worth the price. I would not recommend this restaurant.
