About the restaurant Café le Baron

"Located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, the Café le Baron welcomes you in an atypical and elegant décor blending the baroque style with modernism. Excellent French cuisine will be served to you at any time.

The Chef will offer you homemade specialties, both gastronomic and trendy. Indulge in foie gras and his pumpkin chutney, or delicious scallops and their vanilla puree. For dessert, why not opt for the sweetness of fried breadcrumbs made in the old-fashioned manner? A treat!

During sunny days, enjoy the magnificent terrace with its wrought-iron chairs. Since it is partitionable, you can also organize your group meals. A location not to be missed!"

Fantastic dinner. The service and dish quality was outstanding. For me it was a surprise because I was not expecting this according to previous comments on the tripadvisor.

Not cheap but we are in Paris so it is acceptable.

Hope to visit again to taste more dishes.

Entrecôte magnifique!!

Au revoir

The meal was good and we enjoy, but it was a very small Selection that could be choosed. And it was not extraordinary. In spite of that we liked the atmosphere

Extremely friendly staff! Super cute place. They let us taste the wine to help decide before buying our bottle. The Dorade was delicious and a must! Only critique: We stayed after our lunch until about 6:30 and the change was noticeable. The day staff is a bit more friendly then the evening staff, they took ages for the second bill to come and at one point, one server kept skipping songs on the restaurant speakers looking for his favorite, errr:/

My main dish, veal, was just O.K. -- a large hunk of meat, slightly overdone. My companion found her salmon dish very tasty, but her portion on the small side. My desert, a café gourmand, was delicious and delightful, and brings my overall rating up a notch. The "retail" prices on the à la carte menu are, in my opinion, too high. The promotion at 50% off brings them down to a perfectly reasonable level, and makes this an OK place for lunch. It's busy at noon. People reviewing here have complained about unpleasant service, but I found the personnel to be polite and cheerful.
