Very disappointing service. Upon our arrival the young man “greets” me and my friend by saying that he doesnt understand how we can even have a booking. He is not nice or curteous; a lot of “pffff” and frowning going on. It turns out they are not supposed to take reservations via la fourchette for weekends. I show the lady the reservation confirmation and tell her it was booked two weeks ago. She looks at me suspiciously as if i hacked the app and somehow managed to book a table. No apology for the inconvenience; no suggestion of a coffee to go, no suggestion of another place in neighborhood- nothing was done to make me feel less upset. During all conversations i felt like i was a suspect in a misbooking crime. It cannot be related to language barrier as i am perfectly fluent in French. While it probably was an issue with the reservation system, the way i was treated by the young man at the counter and even the lady in charge makes me think that no food served there can justify this attitude. Hopsitality is something that should present even when mistakes happen, and a different conversation style would have made me feel absolutely different about this place and the team, even with the same outcome.
Excellent food, actually best we got at weekend trip to Paris. And friendly staff, who also speaks good english. Cosy small place. Remember to book in advanced.
Good breakfast, highly recommend juice of the day.
Super accueil, brunch excellent.
The service was great! I had “The Full Monty” which had a generous selection of breakfast items. The price was great and I would recommend this to anyone who needs a fresh and convenient place to eat. Make sure to make a reservation as the seating area is a bit small and large groups seem to book in advance.
Small place, good service, food very good, pastries could be better
Brunch excellent !
