Um Café que é restaurante, no coração do Chiado Renovado em 2006, o Café no Chiado prima pela qualidade e variedade da comida, pelo atendimento personalizado e pelo ambiente requintado.

Service slow and waitress distracted forgetful and uninterested. Not asked if we enjoyed our food which we did not.
We asked for menu to select desert and she ran off but never returned.
Plates of food dumped unseramoniously in front of us..
Salmon was lovely centre portion but over cooked and dry.
Vegetable soup tasted lime potato soup.
Wine by glass not nice.
When bill arrived Fork discount not applied.
Restaurant very noisy.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The green peppers very good. The mussels were over cooked. The pork dish wasn't spicy and was over cooked. The croquettes were nicely cooked not greasy, but an acquired taste.

We were a table of 4 and had the pica pau pork (lovely), padros peppers (very good and could manage the spice level) , Brie gratin (a little disappointing as was just a wedge of melted Brie - not sure what I was expecting?!) and mussels (were huge) from the tapas menu to start. Then followed by the pork cheeks which were lovely and the meat was so tender it fell apart with a fork. The prawn curry was also delicious.

Service was good but a little slow. They had a buzzer on the table which you could press for service or for the bill which didn't seem to work.

The menu only had a few choices for main courses but could tell each one was well constructed.

The food is very good, especially considering that this is a very busy area in terms os tourism and the value for money in this restaurant is really great. As locals we will definitely be coming back.

Nos encantó la cena, la comida muy rica y el servicio excelente.
La persona que nos atendió fue muy amable, nos hizo muy buenas recomendaciones sobre la comida.
Pedimos unas croquetas de carne muy ricas, un salmón que nos gustó mucho, pero nos encantó el bacalao à brás. También pedimos una tarta de limón muy rica.
Vale mucho la pena la reserva con descuento de the fork y definitivamente es un restaurante para volver y recomendar.

Espaço agradável, no entanto bastante frio vindo da rua com a porta sempre aberta, ao indicar o mesmo aos funcionários, nada foi feito.

Voltei a este espaço para voltar a comer o Foie Gras que adorei há 2 anos atrás, apesar de bom, não se comparava ao anterior em sabor e tamanho, muito reduzido.

Restantes pratos atum selado bastante bom e maigre pato bom mas com puré maça em nada trabalhado, bastante doce, como se fosse sobremesa.

Serviço demasiado rápido e confuso, nem tínhamos acabado as entradas, já nos eatavam a trazer os pratos principais, sendo que não havia novis clientes para sentar até irmos embora

Gostamos do restaurante e fomos muito bem atendidos, gostamos dos pratos que escolhemos contudo o valor pago é demasiado caro para a qualidade da confecção e quantidade servida. Não optaríamos por este restaurante se não fosse através da promoção do The Fork (40% sobre a ementa).

This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with lovely seating outside directly across the street from the Opera House. We have eaten there twice now since arriving in Lisbon a few weeks ago and will look forward to going back before we leave.
