Great dinner. Lovely staff.
We went for the beef! It was excellent. Good service and attention to detail. A great dinner option in Lyon!
Fantastic meal and experience every time. Friendly staff and fresh ingredients.
It is not so awesome like many fo people are thinking. Onion soup is better for those who count calories (good)! Sausage was good , well done, but for those who likes carcinogen... eggs ware bright but very expensive for eggs! Wine .... very big card, but to drink is not so variously, and not so exquisitely... average 3 points ... good, but not so to go special there
Excellente cuisine du terroir et une carte des vins hallucinante. On en redemande. Merci Jeff !
LYON - CAFE TERROIR Everywhere you read tells you Lyon is the food capital of France. The home of Paul Bocuse and Nouvelle Cuisine you can tell the traditions of this city revolve around food excellence. And last night’s dinner was definitely excellent! . In a little street around the corner from the theatre ~ operating since 1877 ~. I found a little gem discovered on the app #thefork. We shared the leeks vinaigrette, large snails in parsley butter and the “Terrine du Maman” ???? the chef’s Mum must be a good cook! . Then the mains - the kids shared a 1kg piece of 40 day aged beef (melt in the mouth) plus a simple fish dish and hubby and I the Rosti Saucisson aux Pistache. His comment? “The best sausage I’ve ever had” Lordy it was wonderful in this red wine sauce reduction. So if you ever find yourself in Lyon, book here. The wine we had, a 2016 Chateau de neuf pape was the perfect recommendation from the waiter. The restaurant has a 2018 Michelin recommendation plaque and since all the Michelin star restaurants were booked out this was an amazing alternative.
Couldn’t be better. Amazing food, great wine recommendations, wonderful atmosphere. Escargot were the best I’ve ever had, superb venison and a perfect risotto!
Excellent Restaurant qui propose à la carte des ris de veau qui méritent le détour !!!
Absolutely astounding service and food. Great restaurant!
Extensive wine list with only high quality producers. High quality food produced with purpose in a quaint room. Nustled In alley not from from tourist central it’s a nice escape.
We learned about Cafe Terroir from a woman we met in Burgogne. We decided to take her recommendation and I’m so glad we did! The food was excellent and the ambiance was quintessentially French. Great meal.
Great food! All was delicious from appetizers to wine. One of our best meals in Lyon, if not France.
Warm welcoming from staff when we walk in Polite and professional staff Small place but has great atmosphere and mood Very good wine selection !
A bit expensive for the beef but taste is ok and service friendly. Sitting next to the door is absolutely not recommended because staff serve next door as well and cause a chilled atomosphere around entrance.
Outstanding food and wide choice of wines. Simply amazing
Good wine list.
Great ambiance, excellent service and delicious wines, what more could you want?
Café Terroir, see you again...
Nice little restau, a bit hidden. Down-to-earth local cuisine.
Great food. We realy enjoyed it and will be back!
Always a great experience. Every time we come here, the food & service are excellent. And the wine list is exceptional !
A great little restaurant, only seats about 35, excellent traditional fare. However, although they tried to cater to my vegetarian partner they struggled to produce anything interesting or substantial in that line - a common experience for us in France I must say. The 45 cl (450 ml) pot of house wine was also a bit expensive at 21 Eu I thought. On the whole would recommend for non-vegetarians!
Staff were warm, welcoming and quite patient explaining the menu items which were limited but tasty, interesting, and generous. Good wine selection.
Atmosphere was good - Food and wine were good - But only Four different Meals were available - all Others were finished- that was a litte Bit Strange - you could only select two different sausages or enttecote
We had made reservations ahead of time, from the US, for 20:00 pm. We came on a Sunday night. We were seated quickly but had to wait for our menus and wine. The poor waitress was working very hard, but pretty much on her own. She gave us the menu and they were sold our of 5 of the entrees. The food we did get was delicious, and presented very well. We (all 4 of us) got the rotisserie, 1 beef and 1 sausage. We came on the Sunday of the European Heritage weekend, so maybe that is why they were sold out of stuff.
Super friendly service, great advice on finding a nice wine and the meat was delicious. We had a great evening and can highly recommend it!
Always a great experience here. They are very considerate about my wife’s allergies. Wonderful food and an excellent wine list. Service is top notch. We had the roasted chicken for two and a couple of entrees. All excellent. Highly recommend. Make a reservation.
A faire sans hésiter !
Very pleasant staff, good food and perfect selection of wine. Highly recommend.
Small, cozy restaurant with a great wine list and a simple and concentrates menu. Perfect for dates and for casual fancy dining with very good prices.
