    I asked two times to make sure my food doesn't have prawns and finally they brought it with prawns and even charged me for that additional prawns!

    Amazing food and lovely staff. We get complementary pizza slices, the Parmigiana and the Lobster croquettes were so delicious. Wish I can ask the chef how did he made them ????????. My partner loved the sea bass ravioli, if you like freshness and lemony flavours you would enjoy it. I got the risotto but I was so full already they kindly offered to box it for us. The dessert was one of the best, the ice cream was velvety and the wafer was delicious and the frangipane was perfect. I would recommend. Definitely we will be going there again after end of lockdown????. P.S I don’t drink but my partner really enjoyed the red wine.

    We were delighted to discover Caldesi and enjoy their delicious food. We had a warm welcome and a very enjoyable time there. We will definitely have another meal here when we are in London again. Thank you!

    We dined in the real restaurant in the first floor, the food quality is amazing, the interior design elegant and traditional, the service great. Will definitely go again!!

    Covid has changed this place - this is not the old Caldesi that we knew so well. We lived around the corner for years and were regulars. The food tonight was terrible: fritto misto was dry and tasteless; sea bass ravioli was even worse - chewy ravioli and. totally bland sea bass mushy filling. Chef Caldesi - please restore this beloved place to its former glory. A smaller menu is fine but this level of cooking is not yours all ....?

    Our pasta was excellent, if a little too much at lunch time! But it is always excellent there . Would highly recommend a visit , - you will not regret it!

    A very nice supper, and good value, too. Favourite dish? Veal calf's liver and mash. The light bites were also very nice. My least favourite dish (a shame because I normally love it): Afogato; this is because it's important to serve the ice cream with the espresso ON THE SIDE (or serve it very quickly); otherwise (as in this case) it's left on the counter before being served and all the ice cream melts - you end up with a cold, sweet, white coffee that you have to drink rather than eat with a spoon. Not good.

    The Caldesi is tucked away in a charming Marylebone side street. It is not very atmospheric but charmingly reminiscent of earlier times and the staff were very friendly and helpful, albeit a tad slow for a quiet night. There were four of us in the party and we all thought that the food was excellent. My aubergine parmigiana and sea bass ravioli were delicious. We will definitely be returning.

    What a great restaurant! Our round corner table on the 1st fl. was just perfect. I found the beef and pork ragout pappardelle to be one of the best I’ve ever had. The three other guests were equally delighted with their appetizers, as well as steak dishes, and desserts - the tiramisu was so beautifully presented and tasted divine. Our waiter was very helpful with his suggestions and comments. The Captain’s “goodbye” was a nice touch. We’re definitely going back next time we’re in London, in March 2020!

    I had lunch on Thursday 3/10/2019 I had Seared yellowfin tuna steak, Sicilian caponata, salmoriglio oil. It was a small, actually a very small size portion where the tuna steak slice was sitting on a bed of caponata, all encompassed in a 10cm wide round deep plate. Max. weight was probably circa 110 g ! Vet tasty but don't take this choice if you're hungry ; or have a pasta before ! Hopefully I had a fantastic bomboloni as dessert to fill me up. Service was good but slow. And the wine was good ( Sicilian Grillo "Kore", Colomba Bianca). Overall, an OK experience. Just review the size of the portions !

    Sunday lunch with a difference. Huge portions for two people. Fantastic starter plate with lots of vegetables. This was a meal in itself really. Meat course was also brilliant. Stuffed guinea fowl, lamb, pork steak and a beef rib. Too much meat for two people, especially after the starter. Meat course served with a lovely salad and some potatoes. Desert was delicious, bombolino and a chocolate mouse type thing. Service was excellent, atmosphere was very nice indeed. Not rushed at all which is also a bonus.

    Rubbish ... well below average. Served the antipasto with Truffle Mortadella that had no truffle!!!! They served no bread with anything. We had to order separate. Buratta was served with cold soggy veg. Service was disgustingly shocking. Moody, rude ... we left so much food and even at the end didn’t ask if we enjoyed the meal. Absolute rubbish excuse for an Italian restaurant. I will never go again.

    Quite dinner out with my wife. Loved the ambiance: not too casual, not too stuffy, just right. Nice traditional menu, the dishes we had were close to perfection. Just an observation: I had a ton of ragù with very few pappardelle, though the flavours were spot on. Interesting wine list, though a bit on the pricey side. Before dinner, we had the most perfect classic Negroni, the man at the bar knows what he's doing!

    It was all very nice, from the location, the staff, the food, the arrival of the food, the portions, it was all excellent. The only thing I could comment on is that it was quite warm upstairs, not sure if there was any aircon.
