Really disappointing afternoon tea. We were the only people in the vast restaurant. Arriving we were greeted by a lovely waitress who was Unfortunately finishing her shift. Scones were okay - six scone yet only two small pots of jam. Sandwiches were okay - nothing special. Cakes were basically the same. No pastries, tarts or meringues. All little sponge cakes. At £30 / head I would have expected much better quality. Toilets were ghastly. Each cubicle was dirty and looked as though had not been cleaned for a week! It’s supposedly a highly rated hotel - again one would have expected the toilets to be monitored… and reiterate we were the only people there! The only member of staff we saw was the one we paid who was new and couldn’t comment / help. MacDonald Hotel Windsor - you need to be much better.

The waiting staff were very pleasant however there was a new lady (2nd day) and she was very nice however a bit to overboard and we found the service a little over powering. we were the only people in for afternoon tea, it would of been nicer if there would of been more customers in the restaurant, although that is no fault of the hotel. There wasn't any music playing of what we could hear to add to the ambiance. Also for paying £30.00 and having 1 round of sandwiches for two people was a little disappointing along with the bought in cakes (Brakes). I think i was expecting something a little more.

The service was excellent staff very helpful After tea was poor sandwiches were not very nice Cakes were all bland scones were nice Not worth £45 per head May we suggest that the sandwich fillings are changed And not all mixed with mayo Perhaps include more savory and more elaborate cake 3 pf the 4 guests were good specialists so we’re not impressed

What an absolutely wonderful time we had in saturday afternoon for our special occasion of my husband and his twins 60th birthdays and our daughters 18th birthday. Food was fabulous and the staff were amazing. Highly recommended.

Apreciamos uma excelente refeição aqui. Do início ao fim o serviço foi amigável e informativo com um bom equilíbrio de profissionalismo e acessibilidade. A comida era muito boa, não enorme, mas de forma alguma pequenas porções. Meu bife cozido foi perfeitamente e mesmo se você não é um grande amante de carnes vale a pena tentar um aqui. O menu ainda diz tudo o que você precisa saber sobre os diferentes bifes disponíveis.

The waiter was good - took our order quickly and brought the drinks quickly. So we were very disappointed by the fact that it took an hour for the food to appear after we had ordered it - and we were both only having a burger. We did not dare to order a pudding in case it took another hour

Nice staff but poorly trained. Food ok but fish special was so small as to be pathetic. Staff clashing breakfast crockery down while we were eating was terrible. Only us and one other table in on Friday night. No ambiance. Won’t be back

Firstly there are some good points. The venue and restaurant is lovely and everyone was pleasant initially seated. However, service was really slow to non existent and had to ask for a tea refill and to pay the bill. It felt like we were left in a corner whilst they concentrated on lunch servings. We had pre-booked the afternoon tea and it was still 45 minutes before this came out. The sandwiches were dry and the cakes were ok but felt mas-produced especially the scones and again tasted as if they had been left to stand on the side. This was a gift and left me feeling really uncomfortable as I was treating a fried. Likely I would be very reluctant to go and eat here again based on this on visit. The Afternoon tea was not cheap at £60 for two and I have had better quality and service elsewhere. It is a shame because this could have been so good I just felt we were forgotten.

I went there for afternoon tea with my parents for my birthday today. Friday the 13th. The staff are nice. The food was nice it was nice and quiet. We could talk to each other very calming atmosphere

The restaurant was nice and we had a great table at the back where we were served Cream Teas for 5. Our guests were two Americans in England for the 1st time and they loved it. Thank you for a great service.

Went for Festive Lunch, unbelievably we had the restaurant area to ourselves, like we were their special guests, our table was beautifully set and our personal waiter Jacques was perfect. Lunch was good. Enjoyed this experience.

Absolutely disgraceful don’t book high tea ever More concerned about the wedding party that arrived shoved in a corner at 12:30 at 1:20 we finally got some attention after asking several times and got our high tea Manager thought he was doing us a favour by taking off the service ( what service ) many other things before being asked to pay £60 for two high teas and two drinks His saving grace was some added discount for what really was a complete shambles Avoid avoid we only choose this as they did high tea at lunch we should have booked elsewhere and will not return ever Considering it’s a Macdonalds hotel

Food was very very nice. Service took a little while to get going but once it did I couldn't fault it. It was a terrible shame that the restaurant was as quiet. I assume due to Covid cancellations because it really bought the atmosphere down. My group was the only group in there at eight in the evening on December 22nd and this restaurant does not deserve to find themselves in that position. I can imagine if it had been busy with Christmas bookings the atmosphere would have been incredible.

This restaurant is amazing! We wanted somewhere special for our wedding anniversary, the food was fabulous - we had the fillet steak which melted in your mouth. The staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Lovely staff. Disappointing to find that price was not as advertised on line for high tea. When I queried it , the staff said they would check and let me know but didn’t.

Toilets were flooded with urine. When my partner complained nothing was done. Drinks were very, very badly made. Food was poor - an “heirloom tomato salad” comprised three slices of a cheap and watery salad tomato. Waitress didn’t check on us during the entire evening. Worst meal. Will not return!
