In the year we've spent in the Netherlands, this was, hands down, our favourite culinary experience. Just take the Chef up on his surprise menu and you won't be disappointed. Dietary restrictions aren't a problem, with the fully vegetarian set being just as great as the regular one.

The service in this restaurant is exceptional, certainly against Dutch standards. Good wines, good explanation. Calva likes to use a surprise menu concept. Good food. Quite lite on the seasoning, this may be a small point of attention.

This restaurant makes a real difference with all others in the area : it gather the quality and presentation of a gastronomic restaurant' and the atmosphere of a family owned place. I find super nice that chefs comes to our table , when they have time to explain in detailed the dish' and listen to our taste. The dessert was superb: a warm sticky toffee pudding, with yogurt iced foam and crunchy caramel rocks. For sure ,we will be back !
