About the restaurant Camélia - Mandarin Oriental, Paris

Exquisite tastes and a striking design, Camélia is a very modern restaurant. Located on the ground floor and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Camélia’s relaxed ambiance and beautiful design is the perfect setting for Thierry Marx’s original take on traditional French cuisine.

Using the freshest ingredients possible, our Culinary Director has invented a choice of delicious dishes in tune with our busy times. Savour our superb menu, which for breakfast, also features some enticing Japanese specialties. In addition, Thierry Marx has created a menu of seasonal dishes “Daily Marx”, available during weekdays at lunch between 12:30 and 2.30pm. Alternatively, book a table for the afternoon and enjoy a range of mouth-watering patisseries.

Overlooking our peaceful garden, Camélia is a light filled space with beautiful stone and wood floors, and intricate detailing. During the summer months, guests are invited to enjoy our stunning landscaped garden for a very special experience, La Table du Jardin, which welcomes between 6 to 8 diners. Due to limited table availability on the terrace, reservations are offered on a first come first serve basis.

The food was a disastrous... cold dishes that seem to be already prepared long time ago and keep it warm somewhere.... plain flavours, not even the quality of the product is good.... the ingredients doesn’t match so the results of each dish was awful.
The waitress was wonderful, and her service was impeccable; wines were also very good.
But I repeat I believe is the worst dining experience I ever have... and the price doesn’t match the quality or the cooking of this restaurant, basically is a joke and a really bad expenditure of money, and definitely is not a fine restaurant but bad food in and a fine environment

Very good restaurant, tasting menu was delicious, with excellent service but you couldn’t help to feel as if you were in a high end hotel’s restaurant versus a wonderful restaurant that happened to be in a hotel...we were celebrating a special occasion, there were some business diners while others looked like hotel guests in t-shirts, sweat shirts and travel clothes.

Stayed at the Mandarin, and we had both breakfast and dinner at Camelia. Food quality is excellent, good wine selection. Plenty of seafood options which for non meat/chicken eaters is great. Breakfast buffet is expansive as well and all very high quality and you can get warm items like eggs as well.

Dinner had plenty of options, which is one reason we picked Camelia over the other hotel restaurant as there are more choices especially for those who prefer to avoid meat.

Service is very friendly, but the wait staff always seem very rushed. Almost like there are not enough of them. Again, all very friendly, just seemed like they were having trouble keeping up with the work load sometimes. The room itself is a bit tight as well, and a little more table spacing would be nice.

Overall enjoyable experience.
