About the restaurant Camille

"GOURMET MARAIS - Right in the center of the Marais, after a day of Parisian ballad, Camille opens its doors wide for you! A trendy venue for experts in good traditional cooking. A bistro atmosphere and a typically Parisian terrace await you along the rue des Francs-Bourgeois.

TRENDY AND TRADITIONAL - Here, you will be offered veal stew, Burgundy snails, duck breast or beef tartare. Still a little room for dessert? Homemade pastries, chocolate mousse or the must-have ice cream and sherbets of the Bertillon establishment will not leave you hungry!

I HAVE TWO LOVES - We can bet that you'll leave Camille to the onslaught of the streets of the capital while whistling: "

Location is great, at Les Marais, the waiter was absolutely great, the food was very good but on the expensive side. But this is Paris! i would definitely recommend this place if you want a nice dinner in the center of Paris.

Went on the suggest of a friend who was there a couple of years ago. We were on our way to the Picasso Museum. It was our first lunch in Paris after landing and we greatly enjoyed the experience.

If you are looking for simple but classic French dishes at reasonable prices - La Camille is the place. It was my second visit, and it didn't disappoint. Our assiettes de charcutierie were "correct": a good selection, including a slab of really good pork terrine. The mains, a brochette de bouef, and a tatare de boeuf were excellent. Ditto our chocolate-based desserts. There was plenty of really good crusty bread, - with the basket refilled without question. Portion sizes can only be described as "generous". We started with an aperitif, and took a very drinkable bottle of St Emilion with the meal. Tap water served, and no pressure to buy the bottled version. The bill came to Euro141/- - which given the quality and quantity of food and drink represented excellent value. Furthermore , although the place was full at 9pm, the service was both prompt and pleasant. Viva la France!

Food and service as expected in a good French Bistro. Prices slightly on the high side but I suppose to be expected in that location.

Extremely popular small brasserie 3 minutes walk from Picasso Museum. Booked for 2pm, bursting at the seams and buzzing, waited 15 mins for a table. Staff good-humoured, very good English and attentive. Had 2 course meal of the day which was delicious and stayed 2hrs. No pressure.

The service is always friendly and reliable here, I've been for breakfast and dinner now. I loved the breakfast (especially when it was served with a glass of champagne), the dinner was good but the entrecote was a little fatty / chewy which surprised me, I thought they would do this really well. The atmosphere is buzzy, I'll be back again and again.

It was a nice restaurant and the food was good but not great. I had the duck and it was a bit tough and somewhat gamey. The service and atmosphere was lovely.

We really liked our dinner at Camille, clearly a very local place which is very nice in a city like Paris. Waiters were fantastic, the annoyed "older" waiter who was very professional, a young lady extremely nice and accommodating as well as a few other waiters who were all very nice. Definiately a good place to have dinner in paris!

I hadn't been back in Camille for 5years and it's still a lovely restaurant and great service and location. But there was no set menu so it was expensive for what you got. Drinks were pricy too.
