We were recommended to this small restaurant as we were looking for real Portuguese cooking and we found it. All home cooked and full of delicious flavours. The cod soup with poached egg and coriander was so delicious as was all the food. I loved the Black pork secrets! Prices are very reasonable and the eclectic decor and ambience was pleasing and homely. Don’t be put off by the area which is a little seedy. The restaurant is just so good and the staff too.

If you are looking for the true taste of Portugal--food and warm hospitality--this is it. A perfect spot for escaping touristic restaurants. It is like eating in someone's home. Don't be surprised if a local sends a sample of their dinner for you to try. Prices are modest. A few minutes walk from the Camphana train station. If you take a day trip from Porto and want to return to an informal dinner of. Portuguese comfort food, this is it.
