Cantina da Vila

Well, Cantinha took us by surprise! Likely the country's best Moelas and a mediterranean salad bowl overflowed with greens, nuts, avocado, orange and the most delicate dressing were the start to our meal. We were so happily filled by then that we decided to split a T-bone. Oh, goodness, this was again the BEST; perfectly cooked with a firm yet buttery texture. Topped this off with a petite gateau. What a delicious evening, with smooth and friendly service and a talented team in the kitchen. Felt completely comfortable with all the COVID measures in place and all customers conforming to them.

Absolutely delicious! Carpaccio, civiche & advocado salad. And the desserts... petite gateau & the almond w/ marscapone and raspberry... incredible!

Welcoming staff, good food quality and very charming atmosphere. The starters were very fresh and the risotto, which is something that I am very picky about, got me pleasantly surprised.

We only discovered this excellent restaurant because of using The Fork. It was a marvellous experience. The upstairs setting is lovely, a natural looking environment, timber & plants. The seating comfortable, which is such an important part of a dining experience. Service was professional, friendly, helpful and respectful. Food was excellent. The dishes were interesting, high quality ingredients and tasty! Good selection of wines. We discussed choice of background music could be more acoustic rather than pop, to complete the perfect experience. Bravo!

Very nice place.

In the right place in town. International tecelões nd excellent food. Fast service and very attentive staff. We had the duck and the tuna, both on the right temperature and combined with the right souce.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Service is really not very friendly and we came at 18:57 and we’ve been told that waiters have to finish meal and they work from 19:00!!! Appetizers were really bad. Main dish just ok.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden on the first floor of the Mercado, but don’t let that stand in the way of finding a great meal; we had one of our bests meals in Portugal in this place. Dishes were innovative, had great spice to it and very well cooked. The interior was innovative and inviting; service flawless. Don’t miss it!

Not bad, not good, too expensive for quality. Will not return. Was hoping for something better.

Sincerely, as someone who goes to decent restaurants very often, this was the best experience I've had in the Lisbon area on the fork. Every dish was sublime, different, with killer ingredients. Staff were superb, too. Really friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Excellent wine list, too. Definitely be back.

Great food in a tucked away location in the top floor of the market. The €15 lunch menu is a winner.
