9.5/10The octopus is amazing, I seriously recommend it. The Bacalhau à Pipos was also divine, especially the mashed potatoes with cheese 😍 our server told us that one octopus might not me enough for 2 people (because after cooked, it shrinks), but believe me when I tell you it is! It was similar to the size I saw in the other photos around here, so go for it!

3/10The service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes for our food. And another 20 for our check. The food was not good. Not sure how they can say they serve the best Bacalhau because immediately after having one bite, we could tell it was incredibly fishy and not fresh. We all had one bite and did not finish the rest. it’s a shame because we had high hopes.

9/10Food and service was great. There isn’t much of an ambience. It’s just a long narrow row of tables extending back to the kitchen. We were supposed to get a 30% off discount but they only discounted one entree and no other items. Confusing since every other restaurant except for one has discounted the entire bill. Even so, the food was good so I would still recommend eating here. (We had salmon and cod. Both very good selections).

5/10Example of a restaurant made for tourists but not for locals. Although the staff was helpful, the food was far from the rating. We’ve went for the octopus with cod fish, but the price for value was too high and the cod fish was undercooked. The portion was small, as it should be for two persons. Deserts overpriced given the size and quality. Don’t recommend to someone that wants to really taste typical Portuguese food.

Olá caro Luís! Peço imensa desculpa se algo lhe correu mal, mas os preços não me pode dizer que são caros, uma vez que ainda estão longe de outras referências! Quanto ao bacalhau estar mal passado devo discordar veementemente de si, porque o bacalhau antes de terminar no forno ele é confitado, daí estar bastante surpreso com esse comentário. Devo dizer também Luís que hoje em dia para os portugueses que vivem no Porto deve ser difícil já viver … porque tudo é extremamente caro como deve entender! Obrigado pela sua visita.

8.5/10This is a very narrow restaurant with tables along one side. The service was attentive. The cod appetizers (pataniscas and bolachas) came with a herb-garlic mayonnaise. That was a nice touch as usually in Portugual these dishes do not come with any sauce. My husband and I shared a baked loin of bacalhau. It came with nice crispy chips. A tasty generous serving Our friends shared a beef filet with risotto. They were very happy with their selection. The pumpkin "lava" cake with foam was really good and unlike any other dessert I've had in Portugal

9/10Octopus 10, Codfish 8. A very friendly stuff and very much involved and friendly owner. Excellent wine (Quinta Sa Da Baixo reserva tinto/red, 2019). Very nice atmosphere.
