10/10Everything about Carcone was perfect. The complimentary glass of Proseco and the bite of fried dough with a tangy sweet and sour dipping sauce was a nice touch. The tuna tartar and eggplant starters were ample and delicious. For primis we chose the Tordelli and the pasta with olives and anchovies. Both were excellent. The service was both welcoming and attentive. We highly recommend Carbone if you find yourself in the delightful city of Lucca.

10/10Great food and service. The staff were very enthusiastic about the food but it was very relaxed and not at all 'stuffy ' like some high end restaurants. The price was also very reasonable.

9/10Food was the best we found in Lucca. Everything we ordered from the pork bao to the croaker to the deserts was excellent. Service was also generally good, but was marred by the difficulty in getting the check and paying it. I asked for the check, then a different waiter asked if we wanted coffee. Then I asked for the check again. And got the check, but had to actually get up to ask to pay it with a credit card. I was really tired and full, and we had a fairly long walk back to our hotel, so I was in a hurry and got aggravated that I had to spend 20 minutes before I could finally get and pay the bill.

10/10Over our extended 10 week stay in Lucca we dined at Carbone three times and each time the food was delicious and the service first class all the way. From the moment you walk in The ambiance of Carbone can be felt. We will forward to more dinners at Carbone when we return next year and will certainly recommend it to all visiting Lucca. P.S……..we love to try many different osterias in Lucca and repeating going to a place more than twice is a rare happening.

10/10Super nice restaurant and the two waiters serving us were so friendly and efficient. Food was so good and very nicely presented and the waiters choice of wine was perfect. Definitely recommend this gem of a place

9/10Food is definitely among the best in the city, and the chefs resume speaks for itself. Service could be a little bit better but I might have just had an off night. Music is perfect, chet baker with smooth jazz. At the perfect volume level. The lighting however… feels like an operating table. I could see every pore of everyones face in the restaurant. If they removed 60% of the light in the room and put some small candles on the table. The atmosphere in the dining room would be incredible and take the dining room from a 7 to a 10. Come here for the food. It is INCREDIBLE. Not for the ambiance.

10/10What a lovely evening at Carbone 17/01/2024....Our server Philippe was charming, p[rofessional and knowledgable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, comfortable seating, mood lighting and music of Jazz genre to dine to. Each course was delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and prepared with love. We will return often.

10/10Have been coming to Lucca for 6 years - this has been the best experience.. Filippo was so attentive, but not over the top. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced - lots of little touches - but you have to go yourself to find out ???? Will definitely be going again next time we are in Lucca

10/10We had an outstanding meal at this fabulous restaurant, and also excellent service by Filippo. Excellent food with some twists on traditional favorites. The decor was beautiful and added to the fun ambience. We are so glad to have discovered Carbone and will return.
