We ate very well in Mantua but this was overall the best meal we had . Cooking was of a very high standard and service was attentive and helpful, particularly in respect of my coeliac husband's requirements for gluten-free food.

Outstanding even for the very high standards of the cuisine mantouane: offering a wide range of culinary options (including vegetarian ones and the possibility to combine several small dishes), this restaurant provides excellent service in a pleasant atmosphere - all at a fair and affordable price.

The food was well presented and tasty. The mise en place was nice and the olive oil from lake Garda was a nice touch. The greeting on entering the restaurant could have been friendlier. Service was slow, I had to ask to order after 30 minutes sitting at the table and then another 10 minutes before the order was finally taken. Amuse bouche was a bit uninspiring, spelt flavoured with turmeric didn’t really reflect the traditional menu. However the food was good. The outdoor courtyard setting was pretty and well ventilated which made for a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend the restaurant on balance it was worth the visit and will return.

Lovely welcome and attentive, knowledgeable service from the proprietor. Beautiful food, with great vegetarian aptions. We loved it, a great start to our trip to Mantova.

This is a terrific restaurant. The tasting menu at lunch is superb and good value at 35E. The wine list has some nice local selections.

Delicious food. The setting at the front on the road does not look promising, but once inside the pretty little garden at the back, you are a world away.
