We dined at this restaurant 5 years ago for a pre-half marathon meal & were keen to return but so disappointed. Food was nice although small portions for the price. The staff barely acknowledged us & were unwelcoming & not friendly at all. Won’t return sadly.

Simply put. The best burger I have ever had. Highly recommend Carluccios burger and the chicken main course was also outstanding. Superb service too. Thank you

Not bad but disappointing when you're expecting home cooked italian hearty food. Starters came at different times, some bread was warm, some cold. The wine we ordered was not the one we received. The flavours were alright but my husbands meal was saturated in oil and he couldn't finish it. It was mothers day and the restaurant was busy but you'd definitely expect better.

Waited a long time for starter and had to ask waiter "where was our starter?" When it finally arrived was good. After another long wait mains arrived but my wife's main was not what she ordered so she had to wait while they prepared the correct meal for my wife. They at least deducted the cost of her main meal from the bill. Atmosphere was very good.

It was incredibly busy today so there was a long wait between courses. When the mains arrived, the food was cold. For a meal that cost over £70 (no alcohol in that), disappointing.

We dined early and the restaurant was very quiet so not much atmosphere. However the service was quick and the waiters attentive. Food was excellent and we had a very reasonably priced red wine. We would certainly come again.

The waitress told us there is no exclusive menu. They have set menu offer, which is only valid until 5pm. They checked it once more and they decided to offer the set menu which is actually their lunch menu. The food was nice enough.

Food was good, service was really good. All the staff were great, knowledgeable about the menu, polite and engaging. It was a bit more lively than usually but we hadn’t realised it was Chester races.

We arnt from the area and couldn’t get a taxi to the restaurant, they were super understanding about us being late and made sure there was a table waiting for us. The service was amazing, the girls serving were fantastic. The started wasn’t amazing it very salty but the main made up for it.

The table service wasn’t very good. We got orders first then drinks about 5 min after. The Lasagna was ok but disappointing for an Italian restaurant. We ordered some bread as a side and one of the breads was at least 1,5 days old. Ok but not good.

I have dined at Carluccios for the last 9 years and I will never stop going. They only criticism I have is the spinach balls are so small now and the pasta portion has got a lot smaller. But I do love the dish. I have bought the Carluccios cook book and I do make my own spinach balls and lot bigger.
