Even though it was on a Saturday, at an early sitting, there were many items missing from the menu. The food we had was overcooked, and the sauce for our duck was cloying.

The restaurant itself was not as warm/pleasant in terms of decor/setting as I'd expect from Carluccios; the atmosphere was more like a cafe. However our waiter was absolutely fantastic; he was very friendly and efficient, made us feel very welcome and did a great job. The food was absolutely delicious, even though they were short-staffed and only had one chef there.

Delicious meal, the second glass of wine we ordered didn’t come in time to eat with the meal so we sent it back. But very kindly we were given a complimentary dessert.

We really enjoyed here. We booked early in the evening, so had a table in the window. The fork festival menu was a bargain, even when supplements were included. The dishes were as of the a la carte menu, which meant the desserts were unbelievably good value as they were included. I would recommend the panna cotta, there's a good tiramisu for the nay sayers!

A disappointing meal here today, particularly as I last meal was so good. The chicken was dry and quite tough and the mussels were in a rather anaemic sauce. Mushroom soup was excellent.

The food was good , waited ages for our main , surprising as place wasn’t busy . It was quite cold in the restaurant . Service was ok . It was a special deal £14 for 3 courses .

Every time we go to Chichester for Goodwood Events we always eat at least once at Carluccios, and we also enjoy their takeaway picnic meals. However, this trip was disappointing. They did not have a record of our booking. Fortunately I was able to show them on my phone, "I was quizzed have you just today booked" "no booked a week or so ago". It was busy and that was ok as it was Goodwood Revival weekend. I ordered Vegan pasta (Im not vegan but it sounded good) Hubby ordered penne (which we have had before) both listed to contain Chilli but the amount was so much my mouth was literally burning, I scrapped the sauce off and tried to eat just the pasta Hubby tried it and said you need to try mine!! it was even hotter. We were asked how our meal was and had to say and my plate showed the evidence of my being unable to eat. The reply was "sorry about that the chef is Spanish and it can vary. umm not quite what I wanted to hear. No offer of a little apology a complimentary drink for example. so very disappointed,

I often dined with my husband at Carluccios some years ago and was excited about going there again as a widow with a friend. We had booked, but on entering the restaurant and no welcome. A girl came forward and waived her hand and said'sit anywhere you want' We did and waited, finally I got up and asked on of the girls for a menu. Then waited for one of the girls to finish their chatter and make an order. The goats chees salad which I had ordered was cold cooked goats cheese! Not very edible on a huge pile of cold barley.. I have to admit the waitress was quick to agree to change it for something else. Meantime my companion's food was getting cold whilst she waited for me to join her. A great slab of parmisan crumbed chicken arrived with the most miniscule salad and 4 unhappy tasteless tomatoes. Carluccios used to be our 'go to' restuarant BUT this experience has sadly crossed them off our list. Selina Thistleton-Smith

We had a brilliant time at Carluccio’s. We have always enjoyed the food there. This night was quite quiet, so we had a booth, everything ran in perfect time, and the waiter got the balance of service perfectly right. Very much enjoyed ourselves!

Lovely place and so quiet as nobody going out but great service will use again in future . No need to shut down early was enjoying a great time and waitress did like meeting my daughter too
