About the restaurant Casa de Linhares

Magical atmosphere, touching music- extraordinary experience! The music, waiters, Vania- all were on high level. The cuisine was great! This place is one of those you can’t find easily, it deserves the stars and for me, personally is best experience and memory of Lisbon

Loved the music and the setting as well as the service quality.
Dinner though was very simple and the food offerings much simplier than many cheaper restaurants in Portugal.

Very slow service, not recommending going for the dinner during fado - during the concert there is no service so many times you just have to wait with the empty plate or you cannot leave whenever you want. Menu degustation took over 3h and was just too long and boring.

Wonderful location for the 2 Fado musicians and 3 singers made it a memorable occassion. The food and wine were good but expensive, and this expense was in addition to €15 per person for the music.

The food was awful considering the chef is the acclaimed Jose Avillez. The cover items were mediocre, the shrimp appetizer was actually good but the main course of baked cod was as salty as the ocean and inedible. Truly disappointed by the cuisine. The highlight was the fado!!! Don’t expect a “Jose Avillez” food experience here.

This was our most expensive dinner in Lisbon, but the prices are easily on par with prices in other European and US cities (Lisbon is, for the most part, very inexpensive). There is also a cover charge for the entertainment. The food was delicious and the service was great. But you go here for the ambiance and the experience, and, in my opinion, for a special night out it was worth it.

Very nice atmosphere and great Fado experience! Food was nice but starters were the past- tuna tartar and shrimps!. My husband had steak for main and he was not that satisfied with the taste but it was ok. Menager of the Casa is a great host!
