Booked for a romantic dinner for two. I have eaten at a great many excellent restaurants all over the world and I have to say I was very impressed. The food was outstanding (my salmon was the best I have ever had, while the dessert (mille feuille) was sublime. The only slight negative was my main course. I chose the beef which wasn't very well presented nor served with good enough sides, although the flavour of the beef was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Casa Fermin and will be going back again next time I visit Oviedo. Not cheap but worth every penny.

An excellent culinary experience. Completely out of the ordinary. Completely meriting a Michelin star! Immaculate service. Warm and welcoming staff. Sardines, scallops, tartar of tuna, grilled vegetables, pigeon, solomillo, monk fish and bacalao were the dishes we tried and all of them were exquisitely prepared to perfection, impressive flavours really putting emphasis on each delicate ingredient, and all beautifully presented. Fabulous!

great steak tartare
A truly great evening! When our hotel receptionist heard we were going here he told us not to walk the 25 minutes but to take a taxi as this is the best restaurant in Oviedo. Not only was the food (and it’s presentation) superb but the team did everything possible to make us feel welcome. Great advice from them on food portion size and on the wine. Even though there was a menu in English the young waiter translated everything perfectly while ensuring that we also had the benefit of the knowledge of the sommelier and the “maîtresse “ d’hote. Outstanding value for money. Don’t miss this restaurant if you’re around Oviedo.

Wonderful, friendly service from beginning to end. The restaurant helped us plan our meal, including portion sizes (we were about to order too much!), and were very attentive throughout. They mostly spoke to us in Spanish, but they have an English menu which facilitated things. Food-wise, we liked all our dishes (passionfruit-foam + oyster was our favorite, with honorable mention going to the Hake fish -- so tender! Though we also liked the prawns, scallops, and steak tartare). Every dish is very thoughtful, with a touch of molecular-cuisine creativity. They also served us complimentary pre-appetizer bites (crispy tortilla chip with pork belly and broccolini) and post-dessert sweets (chocolates + nuts and a soft biscotti bite). Enjoyed very much!
Amazing - absolutely fabulous food. We had the menú degustación and each and every course was superb. The staff were lovely. Recommend wholeheartedly.

We found this gem on TripAdvisor looking for a last supper in Oviedo. Since the reviews wire good and it was listed as having vegetarian alternatives it was chosen because my husband is a vegetarian. They only had two vegetarian options, both listed as starters. However they were delicious and filling. What we really loved was the desserts. My husband had gin and tonic sherbet with lemon sauce and we had a raspberry flarn. Actually my daughter loved my dessert so much that she decided to have another one. We recommend the restaurant to list more vegetarian food on the menu, but otherwise keep up the good work.
