We were looking forward to dining in this restaurant because it has so many good remarks., but we were very disappointed. There were not many dishes to choose among. All the meat was with fat and bone, no just meat, like "filet mignon", so we chose to have fish. Chose "Hake". What we got was only the fish Hake, with bones and with skin, and lying in garlic butter, nothing else, no vegetables, no potatoes, rice or other garnish. The fish in itself was good. It was poor value for money. And it was busy there, we had to wait long for the bill, and they were not interested in how we liked the meal.
The food, service, and decor are perfect. I am always happy to go there.
Amazing steak and great hospitality. Fantastic meal all in all.
Excellent food. Service just right. Very nice atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended!
La carne espectacular
literally travelled here 2hr flight to try the steaks and it did not disappoint. the original restaurant in san sebastian which i haven't tried is classed by some of the world's top food critics and chefs as the best steaks in the world, and this for me was pretty much the same. one of if not the best steak i've eaten. next stop san sebastian...
They've been making the same dishes for over 30 years, so they really know what they're doing. The atmosphere was perfect, and the food delicious. Highly recommended.
It must be a European thing, but the steak is priced per kg and no other details are provided (cut, amount, cook, etc.) It cannot be stressed enough, but this is not a steakhouse for American steak eaters. The steak is about 2 inches thick, though cooked decently. The seasoning was non existent. In addition, 40-50% of the steak was full of sinew and inedible. Finally, one order is enough for two though it is brought to the table it batches. In regards to the restaurant itself, they bring bread and oil and small chorizos, at no request, and then subequently charge you for it at the end. I don't mind the bill, but the ambiguity of the entire experience is enough not to recommend this place to anyone.
Excelente quality, it's always a safe bet.
Chose the entrecote and red peppers. Fantastic steak. Great service and would love to go again. Ps: It could be useful to know some spanish, but no problem ordering in english.
Steak did not meet the hype. Restaurant ambiance was quite good and service was ok. The hostess was attentive.
