I’ve eaten at many of the traditional fish restaurants in Matosinhos and after some disappointing experiences, I was happy to have discovered Casa Mota. The service was both warm and efficient not to mention friendly. My jumbo Tiger Shrimp worth every euro. Casa Mota is now my first choice in Matosinhos.

Excellent food and service. Price ok too, around Eur 20/person, including a very good Bio white wine, Quinta dos Castelares. Sofia, the waitress, deserves to be mentioned!!

Didn’t appreciate being charged for items we didn’t consume. They had to adjust our bill . Trying to sell us fish by the kilo when we could buy by the plate .Portion sizes were small . Food was good . Nothing special. Wouldn’t got back as Porto has a lot of great restaurants.

We’ve had a wonderful lunch here after a long walk along the beach. The waiter is nice and quite efficiency. My octopus rice is yummy except a little salty. The cod is well cooked. A good place for traditional Portuguese food and have a break in your journey.

The restaurant is located in the vicinities of the commercial harbor. We found it by chance and we were very positively surprised. They prepared for us excellent fresh fish to share. The deserts were also very good. We spent a wonderful evening.

Tasty homely food and reasonably priced. Bream and chicken were both delicious and an exceptional side salad. Served by a funny waiter who managed to extract every euro from us with his suggestions. Recommended.
