We really enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit difficult to locate. It is on the upper level; go up the wide stone stairs. Nice menu, very tasty, a nice presentation. Our waiter was wonderful at explaining some of the dishes and recommending wine. We had a table at the window and so we enjoyed the river view. My colleague remarked that the lollipops (squid dish) was one of her best meals ever. Bravo Casario. We would go again. Small place so maybe make a reservation.

Restaurante muito bem localizado com uma vista de cima para a praça do cubo e para o rio douro / Gaia. Local pequeno e aprazível com um serviço cuidado e atencioso. Entradas interessantes mas pratos de qualidade média. Tinha expectativas elevadas.

True gem! The staff was very warm yet professional. Both the food and the presentation were excellent. We had high expectations, but Casario exceeded our expectations.. Our short stay in Porto couldn’t have ended any better. We highly recommend it.

Este restaurante fica na Praça da Ribeira e, embora tenha uma boa localização, não é fácil descobri-lo porque fica num piso superior, sendo necessário aceder por uma escadaria exterior. Mas valeu a pena descobri-lo, uma vez que as lulas recheadas e o porco bísaro com migas estavam deliciosos. Serviço impecável e ambiente agradável com vista para o rio. Aconselhamos.

Fantastic restaurant on the River that is tucked away with a great ambience. We did the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairings. Everything was expertly done and so delicious. Good portion sizes too. We loved it! Was a perfect final dinner for our last night in Portugal.

We'd booked this one special lunch in Porto and Casario did not disappoint. As soon as you arrive the service is so friendly and welcoming. The room is small and intimate with a stunning view of the river. During lunch we were served by around 5 different servers, all of whom were friendly and professional. They took time to explain the menu to us and help our choices. The food when it came was delicious and we shared 4 main dishes between two of us. The cuisine (it was explained) is a fusion with a Portuguese twist on everything. A delightful experience- recommend to anyone wanting a special treat in Porto and where you feel you've got away from the crowds!

A beautiful spot to watch the river and boats go by from above the crowds. This lovely restaurant has amazing service, wine, and food at one of the most prime locations in the city. We will be returning in the future.

Great location overlooking the river. Cozy atmosphere. Very limited menu. Cold dishes were ok . Hake was super salty but as advertised so be thoughtful. The sea bass and veal warm dishes were very good. Wine list is limited to single producer with partnership with chef. Decent but could be better. Definitely worth a try but reservations are and must. Nice spot for photos

We were a group of 5 friends enjoying chef’s 5-course menu with wine pairings. Overall we very much enjoyed our experience - our server was terrific, very attentive and friendly. We very much enjoyed the dinner and were thrilled to get a taste of 5 very different local wines.

The food was very good and the location was beautiful. However, the noise from the street was really loud (not the restaurant to blame in any case!). The service was quick and pleasant, but when we asked for some pepper, we never got it.

We ate here our first night in Porto and the experience was perfect. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We shared three dishes and that’s about the right amount of food for us. The sea bass was our favorite.
