6.5/10We had high expectations for this place which has a beautiful setting but the food (primarily) let it down. Our waiters were nice but the ribeye was almost more fat than meat, and after being persuaded by the chef to take it medium when we thought such a fatty piece would do better as medium well, much was rendered inedible. We brought much of it home for our cat which was a shame. Also the fact the portable gas heater wasn't working for the first 30mins of our meal was less than ideal as the restaurant is freezing in January without this. Thankfully another waiter stepped in and discovered the gas canister was empty - something really they should check before guests arrive. Wine was pleasant but also here there were some irregularities as the wine we initially received was not the intriguing blend described in the wine list. Thankfully we noticed and changed. The roast veg was very inventive! Also enjoyed the truffle bread. Complimentary amuse-bouche & digestif were a nice touch.

8.5/10Music is too loud unfortunately… great musicians but to enjoy good food and friendship is tough with music so loud one had to shout. Food is excellent!

10/10We went here is September 2024 for a friends 40th birthday. Some of our party were running late, however we were only able to tell them once half arrived at the venue and they told us that this would not be a problem. From the very first moment we were relaxed and were not rushed to order, eat and leave. The customer service was impeccable, the staff waited for us to order our mains and then recommended the number of sides required so that we didn’t over order, and it was just right. I would say that being a vegetarian, the main courses were a let down, however the starters were to die for!We did not officially tell them that it was my friends birthday but they brought over candles and a dessert at the end of our meals. The restaurant itself is amazing, we sat outside with live music, but the only thing missing was the waterfall due to it being quite a hot summer. However we overlooked this due the amazing experience we had. Highly recommend

7.5/10On arrival we were left waiting for 15 minutes before being seated . We had booked 3 days prior. We then waited for another 20 minutes for a drink. This pattern continued throughout the evening - there favourite response when asking for anything was “ Just a second” which escalated to an unreasonable length of time for restaurant service, actually we eventually found this hilarious as we didn’t want it to spoil our evening. The food was well presented and of good quality with some original flavours with a twist . Thank you Chef. Our party have now renamed this restaurant the “Just a second Bar” If the service improves we would happily return.
