Without a doubt one of the best meals at one of the most beautiful places we have been to. Absolutely 5*. We had a wonderful time, service was excellent and wine (and food!) was delicious. Definitely recommend.

The offered food & wine pairing was not served as offered in the Menu, as we had to keep asking for the wine to be paired to the dish being served and eventually the same wine was served, not bad wine, but not really the proper wine in our appreciation. The Tavern is an extraordinary setting, the food quality was good, served in an well appointed and beautiful space. Would recommend, but watch out for the “wine pairing” offer.

This was our second time to Tuscany in the past 5 years and our second time visiting Banfi and enjoying lunch at La Taverna!! Once again the food, wine and service did not disappoint! Everything was delicious, especially their wine!! The only thing that made today's experience less than perfect were two tables of very loud lunch guests...while I don't hold La Taverna responsible for the rude customers - I would have appreciated it if they would have asked the two tables to "keep it down!" One table even took a FaceTime call and you can only imagine how much fun that was for the rest of us!! That being said...I highly recommend a trip to Banfi and La Taverna...you won't regret it!!

Had the “menu degustazione”, senza dolce. Interesting mix and conception, beautiful presentation, and a fantastic wine pairing with some of the offerings of the house. No fault there, a very memorable experience. Yet, the service seemed a bit rushed, for no apparent reason (the taverna is only open for lunch). I had to intervene to avoid the bread, oil and balsamico being taken away before I was done with my meal, and the waitress was particularly interested in establishing how soon she could bring my coffee (and the bill). Maybe some additional orientation in table service would be advisable. Otherwise, having a meal at this environment remains one if the highlights of a visit to the Montalcino area!
