The waiter was extremely rude about providing gluten free options for me, as I'm a celiac. He said the tasting menu was impossible, which has never been the case at ANY Michelin Star restaurant I've been to.

We visited this restaurant a long time ago (2006)and had a wonderful meal. We returned recently (Jan 2018)and were very disappointed. The waiter was excellent and did his best to raise the evening but there was no atmosphere (we were almost the only diners) and the food was mostly pre prepared and not made specially for us. While it was ok it was not the high class cuisine we were hoping for and it was very expensive for what we actually got.

Went to Chamaree Montmartre for lunch after a boulangerie tour nearby. What a fantastic and exquisite meal. Greeted by a wonderful, very professional host who seated us in a wonderful setting at the restaurant. The dining room is decorated elegantly. The menu was simple but offered some great choices. I had a veal chop that was prepared with mushrooms and potatoes and other roasted root vegetables that was just fantastic and cooked to perfection. My two guests each had the butternut squash veloute for their main course, and it was elegant and tasted wonderful, a true masterpiece. I can only imagine what dinner would be like here. If you are going to Sacre-Coeur, or want a really exquisite french meal, go to Chamaree Montmartre, you will not be disappointed. If you respect well prepared and thought out menus, along with presentation and taste, then this is for you, it was for me, and I will be going there again next time I am in town.

Outstanding food and service- I have been to great restaurants in a good many international cities and this truly competes with the best. The complexity of flavors, the fresnesss of ingredients and the presentation were all superior to most restaurants. The service was also perfect, helpful and present when needed but not when not needed. We will definitely return on our next visit to Paris.

The head waiter was disappointing. We changed our booking - in person - from 7 to 7.30. When we turned up he accused us of being late! I reminded him that I had turned up - in person - and HE was the one who confirmed the booking change. However, that was the only sour note. The other staff were excellent, the ambience was sensational and the food sublime. Shame on the head waiter for turning an almost brilliant evening into a mediocre one because of his arrogance.

Degustation menu:
Good: wine recommendation fitted. Eggs (4th course) perfect
Critics: tomato coulis being put nearly on every plate, it just doesn’t fit. Cooking level ordered medium rare, tuna (2nd course) & makrel (5th course) for my partner way more fried than medium rare. Veal (6th course) way to much fried on both plates, no pink meat left. Dessert citrus ice cream with citrus fruits was partially lovely, but half of the fruits were Pomelo which had no taste at all.
Overall impression: For this cost I expect a cuisine better harmonized than just putting tomato coulis on every plate available. In addition there were major mistakes which must not happen at this level, i.e. different grades of cooking on the plates (tuna, makrel), etc.
For me the kitchen tries hard, but it is still a long way to go to reach a Michelin star, but the price tags are already there. Hopefully it is just us having the experience like that.
