The food was decent, but the service was extremely slow. It appeared that they were way understaffed for the amount of people in the restaurant. I would not race to go back.

Wow. What a find. Love the interior, bar and open kitchen. David looked after us from the moment we arrived. The food was superb. Imaginative and very well prepared and presented. Well done Tomōs Matos. We will return soon and bring friends and family. Five stars

Expensive, bad service, food not great. Meat was not cooked after 45 mins wait, we sent the meat back a few times. Not dog friendly!!

Currently visiting Portugal from England. We decided to book a table at Chef Stories after driving past and liking the look of the restaurant! The restaurant is lovely, with nice friendly, helpful staff. Food was very good! All in all a very good experience. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant gave a good first impression, and service started well. Food was disappointing though. Of the three meals, one steak was over cooked with cold sauce, one was under cooked and the all three fries were cold. The sauce was also missed off the chicken supreme. We were the only people in the restaurant so there was really no excuse for it not being perfect. It’s is not a cheap restaurant but we are always happy to pay for good food. In this case it felt like wasted money. We complained and fresh fries were brought out when we had all finished our meal. The menu looked really good and we were excited to eat here but couldn't in all honesty recommend unless they really improve. Service ended up being hit and miss. Friendly but not very efficient. We had to ask for another drink, wait to order desserts, call the waiter over to complain. Genuinely disappointing.

If there was ever a 10/10 experience, this was it! Unfortunately, I didn't get the waitress name that attended us, but let me tell you, I don't know how much they pay her, but they are not paying enough! The initial experience, I would have given around a 6 or 7 out of 10, because even though i was liking the experience, the steak was too well done, not what i asked for and normally i wouldn't have had a problem with that, and i didn't really it was still good, but for the price of this restaurant and supposedly being steak specialists, this wouldn't be what i would be expecting. But then something happened that never happened to me before at any food place of this magnitude. I was enjoying the meal, after an amazing starter and the very nice waitress explained everything in detail to us, but when she came to know if we were enjoying the meal, i told her the stake was just a little over the point but it tasted great nevertheless and thanked her for the sauce recommendation, but she didn't rest until i gave her permission to make a new one, of scratch, with side dish and everything, for me! I was half way done with the previous one! It turned the whole experience to a perfect one, not only because of this action, but also because the second steak was just perfect. The village of Azeitão is my place of birth and it's my favourite place in the world, it's beautiful, full of culture, and a lot to explore, and the ambience of the restaurant went hand to hand with this amazing place, it all felt very well taken care of and personalized, giving the total experience one of the best reviews i ever written. Only critic i could make is that it is a little expensive, and there are better bang for your buck places out there, i have been to a few, but to be honest, with the whole experience, i couldn't say that it's not fair, also i didn't care much for the price in that day, something i normally do, so thats something to take note of. In the end, couldn't recommend more!

The ribeye steak was phenomenal and the sauces tasted great, though the tartare was a bit bland. The ovos rotos and prosciutto plate were not bad either, but for the price I was expecting more flavor. Staff were not exactly rude but slightly unwelcoming and generally emotionless. Still, the decoration and ambiance is really nice but too many pop song bossa nova covers in my opinion (makes it feel like more like a pretentious resort and less like a unique restaurant) The price-quality ratio isn’t the best, but the meat really is incredible.

As always an amazing experience. The service is warm, attentive without being intrusive, and professional. The food is incredible from the couvert through dessert. Thoughtfully prepared, nicely presented, and absolutely delicious!

Great meat and cocktails which was what we went to find. It’s not cheap but that kind of aged meat never is. The cocktails were not expensive or the wine. I found it beautifully decorated, great service, especially the bar.

lovely clean modern restaurant with spaces outside as well. staff welcoming and helpful and had good knowledge of menu including wines to go with choices. did not rush us and were helpful about local area as well as we were there for first time. we will go again definitely and recommend this to anyone who loves meat!!!
