Reading the comments on Tripadviser about "chez Ali" we reserved for our dinner, because it´s said to be pretty crowdy all the time. But because of covid there weren´t many guests, which is a shame because the food is really good and made in authentic style. Everything seems to be handmade in the kitchen. We had both delicious tagine lamb/chicken with dried fruits and couscous. The service was despite the difficult situation right now really nice and warm. We´d come more often if we´d live around - a pity that we don´t have a place like that in our city in germany.
We have enjoyed a excellent lunch Prepaired with love and care combined with Very friendly service. Strongly Recommended and we will sure come again.
Thr food was amazing!!!
Excellent plentiful fresh food. Great welcome and service. Good Moroccan wine. Best couscous ever!
Was busy, so service a bit slow, but food definitely worth the wait!
Friendly welcome. Menu full of food I wanted to try. Went for chicken couscous and it was perfect.
The restaurant was a great find but without a/c on a 95 degree day, it was uncomfortable. But the staff was amazing and tried to help cool us off with a cold glass of water. The food was delicious. My children loved their chicken couscous! That is high praise.
Nice, small, colourful restaurant. Was fully booked, so went back the next day (online booking). Great food, nice flavors, tender meat. Run pleasantly by 1-2 waitors.
Good food , friendly , clean restaurant. We enjoyed our diner. Thanks @ chez Ali
Lovely authentic Moroccan restaurant, with all of the dishes you would expect to find on the menu in Morocco. We had the pigeon pastilla, chicken, lemon & olive tagine and the lamb & prune tagine. The food was incredible, meat was moist and dishes bursting with flavour. Would highly recommend if you like this type of cuisine or if you’re feeling adventurous and want to try authentic Moroccan food & hospitality
Excellent restaurant. Delicious food, generous portions, good service and nice casual atmosphere. Located in a quiet road. We had Tagine and the 'Royal' Couscous - both very good.
Couscous good, Service bad...
Great Maroccan food. Excellent hosts. Best place in Epernay for dinner. Recommend if you want / need a break from average Frenchh brasserie food
Booked this after reading a trip advisor review when we arrived late to epernay for a one night stopover and we weren't disappointed. We had a great welcome from the husband and wife team, nice atmospherend the restaurant was fairly full for a Tuesday. The menu is not huge and we plumped for the lamb tagine with prunes and almonds, the chicken tagine with caramelised pears and the three fish grill (for the gluten intolerant one). All the dishes were lovely. Would definitely go back. Around 90 euros for three of us with a bottle of very drinkable Moroccan rose.
Our first visit . Fantastic! The Restaurant itself, Food & Service were outstanding . We visited with 3 teenagers last night and had a wonderful meal. Great atmosphere & a very warm welcome from the owner . We will be back !
Great food. We ordered cous cous and tajine. Nice location with nice decoration and kind hosts. Highly recommended. We might go back. Thank uou
We had a really lovely meal at Chez Ali last night. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.I ordered the Maroccan salad starter and lamb tagine main while my husband had the couscous Ali.Each dish was really tasty and excellent value, very generous portions.Happy to recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed this meal. All the food was expertly prepared and presented, and some of the flavours were outstanding, especially the orange salad (dessert).
