5/10Very mediocre for the price. Starter of poached egg in a red wine sauce and lardons was let down by its accompaniment of raw sliced mushrooms. (If it was intended that they be raw then the chef should frankly know better.) Main course was duck breast served with new potatoes and braised chicory lettuce. While this dish was perfectly edible it was, frankly lacklustre for 31 euros. The duck was cooked rare and while I like duck rare, my guest didn't. We should have been asked how we wanted it cooked. Apart from my guest and myself, the restaurant was full of American tourists whose set lunch looked equally lacklustre and notable by the meaness of the portions. The young waitress who served us was pleasant and efficient enough though.

10/10We had an excellent evening with the 3 course offer. The food was very good and unexpected in flavour. The restaurant had a nice and cozy ambience and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Definitive recommendation- we would visit again.

9.5/10The restaurant was busy but the staff still made sure we were looked after, the food was excellent, the cassoulet was amazing and my wife and sister had the tagliatelle which they really enjoyed. Overall a great place to eat and a must visit when in Carcassonne.

10/10Really lovely restaurant in the heart of the walled city. We had the ‘ menu of the day ‘ and it was excellent. Two great glasses of white local wine and 2 espressos to finish - just fabulous. All for under €100 for 2 of us. A definite visit if you are in Carcassonne. Great service too - with a smile !

4.5/10We came here last year and it was good so we tried again this year but it was terrible. My 10 year old ordered poultry from the kid's menu. After an hour of waiting, they brought her pasta and said they'd run out of poultry, without asking her what she would like instead (she hates pasta). By then it was too late to do anything else and all our food arrived dried out and tasteless. Very poor quality meal. We asked for wine and bread twice, and a lemonade which never arrived. I would not return again.

5/10The atmosphere is very cool, the terrace is beautiful with the walls around it. However, the food is very expensive, with very small portions for the quality it has. It's not bad, but it doesn't dazzle at all. But the problem was the service, with a long wait and orders being changed. The maids were completely lost, several came asking the same thing at different paces.

2/10Possibly the worst meal experience we have had in France. Clearly there were problems with untrained staff and the food was inedible. My wife chose the duck breast which was clearly overcooked whilst my first pork dish was uncooked. We sent this back and on the second attempt the chiritzo stuffed tomato also contained raw meat. Customers were walking out having waited too long for their meals, whist the waitresses walked around aimlessly with plates not knowing who they were for! This place is not recommended and we certainly will never return.

7/10Service excellent - waiting staff were friendly attentive and spot on! Starters were very nice - tasty and as described in the menu. Main courses were disappointing .. not as described in the menu .. It felt like the kitchen were struggling that night.

7/10This was a much anticipated treat, the food was very good but the service was poor and rather spoilt the evening. When we arrived they couldn’t find our booking but this was rectified when we pointed out our booking on their sheet. Starters came and were very good and as we were a third of the way through our mains we realised we hadn’t had our drinks so had to ask again for them. We were half way through our meal when the waitress came over to say they didn’t have the white wine I had ordered and suggested a rose instead which I accepted. My husband then had to ask where his beer was; it came 5 minutes later. We were given dessert menus but again we were overlooked and had to chase up staff to order. All in all very nice food but the restaurant was understaffed and we overlooked too many times and it spoilt the evening. The restaurant charges premium prices but unfortunately its service didn’t match.

2/10We were taken to a table which had a loud speaker above it,you couldn't hear yourself think as it was so close and loud.We asked if we could be moved and after being ignored by staff for several minutes we were told "no" even though the restaurant was three quarters empty at that point.They offered to turn the music down but that didn't happen immediately so decided to leave and ate elsewhere. Not a place I would recommend poor customer service.

5.5/10Not a good experience at all. . We came for their Cassoulet which is supposed to be their signature dish. They were out of it at 7:30 pm. Two of us ordered salmon which turned out to be smoked trout with a blob of mayonnaise next to it. One of us ordered duck breast which was just dry. Leek salad had a single strip of leek with quail or smth. legs with it. We asked for butter for our bread, waited 10 minutes and asked again. They did bring it after all. The desert was good. That’s why the rating is as high as it is

9.5/10Delicious dinner with my family. They seemed to be a bit short staffed, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Hubby had cassoulet which was delicious, and our sins enjoyed the kids’ menu. Definitely would come back.

7.5/10The garden provides a lovely ambience and the restaurant inside is very modern and welcoming. We arrived on time and were seated and it was immediately obvious that they were short staffed. We eventually ordered wine and then a starter and main course. The food was generally very good but we had to ask for the bread and everything was too slow. Some other diners seemingly left early, a little frustrated. Nearly 2 hours after arriving we felt that we couldn’t risk ordering dessert or cheese as it was getting late and the service by now seemed quite frantic. I would recommend the restaurant for the food but they must improve the service, especially as it was less than half full.
