We enjoyed this authentic French restaurant with their quaint setting, great service and the food was upscale without an upscale price. The wine was excellent.
Amazing. Jean Paul was wonderful. He food was to die for. The ambience (with the pups) was very romantic. Will be going again soon!
We had a wonderful dining experience here-cozy ambiance, kind staff, and delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Perfect local gem. Delicious and very warm, accomodating service. We loved it.
Had booked but made vEry welcome, and waitress took time to explain board menu in English for us in English (the regular menu came in English as well as French). Board menu entree of goat cheese ravioli was stunningly good, swordfish main from board equally so- both very memorable. The veal with pasta dish from the board was only routine and bit of a disappointment at the price, but overall this was an excellent dining experience with an excellent not too expensive red wine. Had to pass on dessert being too well filled by entree and main. Would visit again.
Traditional food. Tasty with efficient friendly service. Nice wine list too.
The reception and service were friendly and professional. As requested, they provided a table where would converse more easily. Good menu selection and choice of wines ; somewhat more expensive than expected. Recommended, but you need to book as the restaurant was full up.
A fabulous restaurant- friendly service and delicious food. The French onion soup, beef bourguignon and rump steak were top notch. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely evening to all at Chez Fernand.
Great food and the service was outstanding.
Traditional bistro, familiar classics well done. Popular with young Americans. Reasonably priced.
A most memorable evening, difficult to fault anything and just watching the staff running around was entertainment enough
Very nice restaurant with warm atmosphere and delicious food and wine . On top of that the team is extremely friendly . I will come back for sure .
Went there on new year's eve, amazing menu and very welcoming staff. I will definitly return on my next trip to Paris!
Well prepared food at fair price and nice selections of reasonably priced wines. The foie gras ravioli was outstanding as was the beef Bourgouione was perfect as was the creme brule.a great traditional bistro.
We have been several times and always enjoyable!
This is our favorite restaurant in Paris!!
This is the 3rd time we have eaten here on our trips to Paris and once again we were delighted to be here. Food and service will keep us coming back
Multi-lingual, staff is helpful. Lamb shank and veal chop were delicious, as was the pâté de foie gras. Nice atmosphere, especially in the small back room which had small tables for couples. Noisier in the main rooms. Open 7 nights a week!
If you like a stuffed sardine can with no space, and the noise of a full stadium when thr home team just scored the winning point, this is for you, if not, don't go
Love LOVE L-O-V-E the Boeuf Bourguignon!
Simple food served with a smile and without fuss in a small, friendly restaurant.
The best duck breast ever! And i really mean _ever_. Tried it twice and it blew my mind both times. All the other dishes and the service were great as well. Don't miss this place <3
The meal and atmosphere was perfect! We eat at this restaurant every time we visit Paris! A quaint French restaurant.
Great food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Clearly this team cares about what they do and the experience they create. Looking forward to my next visit.
Bravo to the manager, Baptiste!! He was extremely energetic and cheerful in spite of our late arrival by 22 minutes (we misjudged the distance) which he kindly accommodated although it inconvenienced him. He even made the time to speak with us several times. His staff was jovial and seemed very happy. We had both a waiter and waitress and she was precious with a quick sense of humour ; very apropos as we were a jovial lot. The meal was perfect and nuanced. The wine menu, which included a Jean Marie Bouzereau, the best vintner of Burgundian whites, was fantastic. Baptiste has done his research. Coming from a family with generations of very fine cooks, I highly enjoyed this restaurant in its every every aspect. A must for any one wanting what tasted like the best French meal a French grandmother would make for a loved family.
Perfection. Food was spectacular, reasonable prices, service was friendly. Duck was the best dish I've had in years, tasty but lean, beef Burgogne did not disappoint our high expectations. French onion soup was okay, and foie gras pasta was excellent.
Sardines come in a sad can. Do not order. We requested table by window. They said too busy to honor even though tables at window remained open. There are better restaurants in Paris
We tried this restaurant after reading the reviews on various sites but mostly Tripadvisor. There was nothing we enjoyed about the time we were there and it has served as a lesson to us that if we walk into a place and think this is really not for us then we will turn around and walk out. We were sat in a row where the tables are pulled out and you sit one at the back and one on the other side all in a row with other people. We have sat like this in other restaurants in Europe and it has been ok however due to the proximity of the kitchen and the 'bar' there was a lot of noise and it seemed that most others there were all happy to be chatting with each other however this was not what we were looking for on this evening. Food was average and each course was a disappointment when we know how good the food in France can be. This was not a cheap and cheerful night out it was quite expensive and a disappointing experience.
Very welcoming, great traditional meme and wonderful food.
Great food and a very nice wine menu. The service was friendly even on a very busy Saturday evening. We will be back here again.
wonderful ambiance, excellent food and wine , friendly service
Nice meal - food was very tasty indeed. Service was good for the meal but when we tried to have a conversation about new year's eve the patron became very evasive and started avoiding us.
Having been there before, Chez Fernand never disappoints ! Consistently delish! The beef Bourgogne is tried and true and the escargots is authentic delicate French cuisine! A wonderful dining experience ...all Paris
Amazing food and amazing service! Will go back for sure!
We adored the warm welcome and the attentive service. The very best Boeuf Bourguignon that we have ever had or would ever dream of having!
unfortunately my escalope de veau wasn´t as good as the quality of the legendary boeuf bourguignon. Therefore I was a bit dissappointed. Waiters are so kind and attentive so it´s a real pleasure to be guest there!
excellent food, nice service.. I love it
High quality! Highly recommended
