The food was lovely, but as many say, way too overpriced. We paid eur 180 for two bouillabaisse and a bottle of orange wine. Having says that, it seems to be in line with prices in town as bouillabaisse is rather expensive everywhere.

We were recommended to try Chez Fon Fon by our taxi driver and local host to try (in their opinion) was the best and most authentic bouillabaisse broth in Marseille. We were not disappointed. There was a generous serving of fish that we could barely finish it. The broth was tasty with the bread, The restaurant location is like a postcard. The staff, who spoke English, were friendly and were able to clearly explain the process of eating the dish. We will go back with our daughter next time to try other things on the menu too.

The food is absolutely outstanding. The service, however, is very old school, reserved and neutral. It is always good, if the service tells something about the food, history of the place and give es you a warm welcome.
