Alsatian dining over the top. The service was excellent with two young ladies who were the daughters of the owners. We were celebrating my birthday dinner.
It felt like you were visiting one of your families homes.
We asked for creme brûlée but they were out. So, they called one of other restaurants they owned to get two ramikens .One of the girls ran to the other restaurant to get them.
It so nice in this day in age , that people really care about making the customer feel welcomed and happy to have you for dinner!!! 5 plus stars for this place!

A very small cozy alsacian restaurant with nice food and beautiful decor. However it might not be easy for handicaps with wheelchairs.

After several days in Strasbourg we decided it was time to experience Charcoutte, so we booked a table at Chez Tante Liesel. The dish was very tasty, but also as heavy as we expected - certainly worth trying but for us not daily fare. We passed on the more tempting sounding daily specials and other items on the regular menu and would choose them if we lived close by. The space is charming and the staff lovely, soChez Tante Liesel is well worth a visit.

Little restaurant with about 7-8 tables. The waitresses are very friendly and answered all our questions. The food is really good and we loved it to try some specialties from the region (Kaesespätzle, escargots etc.). It was great and the atmosphere is very special.

Chez Tante Liesel specialise in local cuisine, which tastes amazing - the portion sizes are large, so you won't leave feeling hungry. The staff are friendly and really helpful and take the time to explain things on the menu. They can speak English, so don't worry if your French isn't so good. The restaurant may be small, but it has a welcoming vibe and the decor has little quirks which are fun to spot while you're waiting for your meal. Great find through TripAdvisor, which also allowed me to book a table with ease.

Fabulous service and good.
Space is limited so a reservation is a good idea.

It is however very warm in summer, it would be perfect in winter since the food is hardy and warm.

I really love the coziness in the restaurant. I ordered the pork knuckle with choucroute and although I haven’t tried other restaurants but I got to admit it could possibly be the best meal I had in Strasbourg! I arrived at 7pm and soon the restaurant was completely full. There were only 2 chefs in the kitchen yet food is served relatively quickly which was very impressive. I’ll definitely go back again!
