9/10We had a terrific dinner and great service at Ci Vulia. We shared the caponata with chocolate to start. For main courses, we had the swordfish with the pistachio crust, busiate with Trapnese pesto, and fresh tagliolini with clams & bottarga.

3.5/10The food was really dissapointing, nothing common with sicilian taste, was my worst food experience in Trapani. They didnt give you a normal bill, just a piece of a paper where its written by pen how much you need to pay, Coperto 3 euro per person (its fine) but its not written in the menu.

8/10Food was good, but the main dish (busiata norma) was a bit bland (but that could be a matter of personal taste) and presented beautifully, came fairly quickly. The staff was nice and the ambience serene. The location is near the historic centre, so perfect if you want to take a quick stroll after dinner.

2/10No awareness of allergy safety, service was all talk and no substance. Went with a friend who has a nut allergy. We ordered the raw fish platter as a starter, and they added some sushi covered in pistacchio. Totally innocent mistake, no problem, we explained and asked if they could substitute a couple of pieces for sushi without nuts. They brought it back without any sushi, no substitutions. Bit disappointing, but again, we'll live with it. Then the main courses come out. My friend had ordered cous cous with fish and broth. They didn't mention that they packed it full of almonds! Absolutely shocking lack of consideration. Nuts not mentioned on the menu, no information about allergies and they've just taken back a plate to remove nuts... nobody thinks to warm us there are more in the new dish. Should mention that the place was almost empty - we were one of only two tables there. We asked the waitress what was going on, she told us it was our fault for not mentioning it earlier. Then claimed that they thought the dish was for me, not my friend... as I was eating swordfish with pistacchio, that was an obvious lie. The manager gave us some sob story about temporary menus, another one about a hospital... eventually she sent someone to get antihistamines. Fortunately my friend's allergy was mild, but he was still suffering. Then when he'd stabilised and we were ready to leave, they expected us to pay for the meal and be grateful that they'd generously discounted the plate of almonds and cous cous. Honestly, they're fortunate not to be on the receiving end of a lawsuit and they're haggling over the bill. We were told we were given a "generous discount" - in reality it was the 20% we were already given by TheFork. The sad thing for me is that I've eaten at this place several times in the past, I think possibly under previous management... but I can't go back now. To make the mistake is one thing, but to try to put the blame onto us and to expect us to pay for the meal they'd totally ruined was just disgraceful. Woeful customer service and I feel like I've no choice but to give the only minimum star review I've ever given any restaurant. So disappointing. If you do go, see if the menus have allergy information. We were told they would be reprinted within a week. If they haven't been, you're not dealing with people who stick to their word or take these issues seriously. I really hope things actually do change, then something good will have come of this.

5/10Well, we have probably bigger expactations after reading all the reviews on the Fork or Google. At the beginning, we start nice- the lady told us that its worth to order bottle of wine than drinking by glass. Wine was really good. She offered us that they can make us a big plate for 2, with gamberi, tuna steak and grilled calamari. We asked for tuna steak medium and we got just tuna chunks (cooked well done:( it was soft, but not what we asked for. Calamari was little chewy, but when they grilled it little more, it was nice. Well, when I got “check” or how I should I call it- written by hand on piece of paper saying that this plate worth 60 eur! (Even the most expensive a la carte dish was 25 eur… well if we got nice tuna steaks and not these chunks, like leftovers from tuna tartare) and it says that 30% discount is 46 (should be 42, but this should be the regular price I guess). Everything written on the piece of paper by hand, no possibility to pay with Fork app and we really felt decieved (ingannato) with this “super plate” for 60 eur… Not sure if it worth it. Only shrimps were delicious, even that little colder but still have a nice taste (they were the most expensive part of that plate, rest was below average :( really dissapointing unfortnately, i was expected something more unfortunatelly and we were mad and sad at the end…

10/10A little out of the town centre but easy to find this restaurant provides a very good menu. The service is attentive and for the quality the prices quite reasonable.

9.5/10Sophisticated, tasty pasta and friendly service. My only minor complaint is where I sat on the terrace smelled a little (not sure from where or what it was) and that there wasn’t any background music.
