Staff were very accommodating and helpful. We had the chateaubriand steak which was delicious with a couple of glasses of red wine served at the perfect temperature.

The service was super slow. There was no interest in taking our order. We sat for 1 hour before food arrived at the table. That is quite a long time, especially when children are waiting for their dinner.

The best food and service in Funchal by far. Excellently prepared and flavorful parrot fish, skewered steak, fried polenta cube sides and apple crisp w/ice cream dessert. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Funchal.

Waited an hour for our first course. Scallops were barely warm Lamb sauce was revolting. Pureed potatoes awful but this seems to be a more common offering

Very good food, but the service was so slow and had to ask 5 times for the bill. Food was more expensive than most restaurants in the area, given the service, the additional cost wasn't worth the experience.

We went to Cidade Velha on the evening of the Flower Festval parade so they were extremely busy! Despite this, the service was excellent and the food as good as it always is! Can highly recommend!

Great food, friendly service. We ate outside on a beautiful evening, with a nice view of the water. Ordered the fish of the day - a parrotfish. Delicious. Also enjoyed the grilled limpets, never had them before.

We went to this restaurant twice last year after recommendation from friends and went twice we loved it so much! Back again this year and it's as good as ever, everything is wonderful particularly the beef on skewers - will probably go again before we go home!!
