We arrived at 8;00 they were packing up. We chose this place as it was close to foreshore but all outside seating was packed up... it was a really pleasant warm evening.

We were glad to be able to book here for Christmas Day. The premises is tastefully decorated. The music played (from Youtube) it seems was a little overbearing, with no real continuity and with no song ever finishing. Front of House service very welcoming, however table service seemed a little ambivalent, leaving the impression that the young fellow didn't really want to be there, did not engage with us with a description of the food that was brought to our table. Overallt eh food was excellent, the pork belly might have been a little dry, but made up for with the Becalan chilli sauce. We thought the pricing was reasonable given it was Christmas day. Portions were more than adequate.

Long term regular customer. Have had many great experiences at Cinnabar but the most recent one was below average. Staff were non attentive, confused and frankly lacked care factor. The food was not up to the standard I have come to expect from the restaurant.

The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday night. There were plenty of staff available to help out. The only issue was they did not have good english and had trouble taking our order. We also ended up with food at our table that was not ours even though there were so few people in the restaurant. We had the banquet, a little pricey but the serving size ok. We could have had more rice. The entrees were great and delicious but the mains average and not innovative or true Asian Fusion. The webpage needs updating as the pricing on the menu was not what was advertised on line so that was a little bit of a slightly more expensive surprise. Great to try but doubt we would make it a regular favourite.

Restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday night, though it seemed that the whole foreshore was quiet (could have been the wet weather). We were sat promptly and offered water, and given food and beverage menus. Staff were very attentive and pointed out the share menu. Drink service was quick and once we ordered the share plates were bought out promptly. Food was well prepared and tasty and was a good variety. Overall we had a lovely evening with good food and company, even though the restaurant was fairly quiet.

Had a tasting menu for $65 per head. Entrees were fine but mains and dessert were lacking. Could not see much evidence of modern Asian fusion. Mains were unimaginative for a tasting menu - fried chicken, fried rice, fried cauliflower, beef brisket. Did not like their desert either. Would have preferred ordinary icecream over their coconut. Icecream concoction.

My partner and I were seated in the middle booth with amazing ambiance and scenery. Food came out really quickly and the service was unreal. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an elegant night

Visually it ticked all the right boxes, but the food let it down. The soup lacked seasoning and the fried rice with roast pork and prawns had just two prawns. We did mention this to the wait staff and we advised this was correct - very disappointing. The Singapore soft shell crab with crunchy noodles also a disappointment eith a curry style sauce drowning the noodles and the crab barely swimming above.

As a visitor to Canberra I made my decision on where to eat based on the photos and reviews.The food very good, service polite and fast but their inexperience showed. What really disappointed is the condition of the venue. The web photos show sleek well kept venue. Very disappointed at these prices the banquette seating is peeling and tatty, the floor unacceptable it looked like it had not been cleaned in days. I booked for one and was shown to a table squashed up against a service cabinet with a view from dirty windows. This was a quiet Monday evening with only four tables of diners in a very large venue. You would think they would offer a more attractive seating placement in an empty restaurant. I had to ask to be seated elsewhere. Some hospitality basics that need to improve!

The atmosphere is lovely and the food is beautiful. The duck pancakes, wassabi wagu beef and roast chicken with creamy garlic sauce were delicious. Staff are very nice and the service was great. Highly recommend!

This is the second time we have been to Cinnabar and certainly won’t be the last. We are from Brisbane and would highly recommend this restaurant. The Prawn dumplings are special but the real winner was the slow cooked duck. The best I have ever eaten anywhere. Well priced for the quality of the food.

This restaurant needs more thinking through on how things will work. Chopsticks provided but no bowl and food was not bite sized, needed to be cut with a knife to bite size pieces.. Rice was provided, and you can only eat it on plate but no food spoon available ( only large serving spoon), and Chopsticks do not work on a flat plate. Food was delicious although some dishes were a bit too sweet for me.

New to the Canberra scene here but I feel it rates a “good” in my book. It was tasty and well presented with lovely fresh ingredients and the ambiance was good. It just didn’t seem really generous with the portions for the price. The service was lovely and friendly except I feel they could have used more staff as it was too busy for the number they had.

Food was fabulous. Unfortunately there were a lot of little plant bugs flying around which were annoying. Swap real indoor plants for fake ones. Would be good if they sold non alcoholic beer too.

The food was very tasty and we all enjoyed our dishes. The presentation was beautiful and plates very unusual. Waiter was very good and attentive. Only negative was some of the seating in the booths had the covering coming off and made it look very tatty and really should be recovered. Would go again, lovely outlook

We attended the restaurant on Valentines day and thoroughly loved our experience. We enjoyed a very generous, beautifully presented and delicious set menu. The waiters were very attentive and prompt, so we will definatly plan to return.

Really loved the starters. The staff was really helpful. The ambience was quiet and elegant. Not too loud music. Recommend to try the juicy dumpling for sure. Overall good restaurant with nice view.
