Una fascia di colore scuro che corre lungo le pareti a mezza altezza; gli archi fatti di mattoni a vista; le originali sedie dallo schienale giallo/ocra e dalle sedute di colore blu; un ambiente originale completato da particolari illuminazioni, quadri ed opere d’arte ed una mise en place caratterizzata da bicchieri dal sapore vintage. Queste alcune delle peculiarità del ristorante “Clotilde Roma”, un luogo accogliente a pochi passi da Piazza di Spagna, Via dei Condotti e Via del Corso, in una zona che coniuga scorci di grande interesse storiche e le classiche vie dello shopping.

La filosofia culinaria che ha sposato i principi di Slow Food, e quindi del buono, pulito e giusto che si esprime soprattutto nella ricerca e scelta delle materie prime, ha consentito di impostare un menu basato sui sapori della tradizione proposti seguendo però il gusto contemporaneo, per sorprendere il palato. Tra i piatti da provare ci sono le “Tre Polpette di una volta: Pomodoro e cacio, alla picchiapò (con cipolla, pomodoro e menta) e al vino bianco dei Castelli Romani”, il “Cannellone ripieno di manzo con fonduta di parmigiano reggiano e tartufo”, e ancora “Arrosto di maialetto con prugne, mele e patate al burro” e per chiudere la “Cheesecake al gorgonzola con salsa di pere”, dessert davvero inusuale.

Clotilde è però anche un cocktail bar con una grande bancone completato da alti sgabelli e poltrone che consentono di sorseggiare il proprio drink con dei piccoli assaggi proposti dallo chef.

    Very nice place, interesting cuisine, all dishes are carefully cured, impressive wine list from 30 to 1800 euro!!!! Good atmosphere and service, and a very big plus for the location!

    The menu was very interesting and well conceived. The pastas in particular were extremely good, while my seafood dish (clams, scallops, and squid) was fantastic. The portions were generous, so though it's an expensive restaurant, the meal seemed more than worth the price. I'd recommend Clotilde to anyone.

    Beautiful room, very well staffed. Had the pasta with gamberoni, one huge shrimp that was the size of a lobster. Very delicious! This was our 2nd time here as we had a very fine dinner the previous year. We will return again!

    Fantastic restaurant with really good food. Try the 7 course menu, or the ala carte, both with wonderful dishes. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. This is a very good restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone.

    The dégustation menu for 40 €/person is good but basic for this price (various types of ham and cheese, pasta and white beans, spinach on a kind of toast notably) and the originality or recipes shall be enriched. Otherwise the place is modern but cosy and nice and the service was perfect and kind!

    Great restaurant in a wonderful calm setting. Some great dishes, mainly carpacio of coppa sausage, beef tartare with truffles the tart tatin. They prepared the desserts for us even though the kitchen was closing and we never felt rushed.
