While the beef was excellent some of the accompaniments were out of place.
The cod fish was horrendous. Fish not particularly fresh. The sage emulsion was froth and tasteless and the polenta was a runny mess. Not recommending this restaurant.

The food on the whole was good, although the fish described as “tempura” —usually a very lightly-coated thin rice-flour batter minimally fried —was heavily coated and fried dark to a thick, hard crust; the pavlova dessert, on the other hand—a meringue-based confection—was totally wonderful: light, airy, fresh and with a hint of amaretto, —it melted in the mouth amid a lovely bouquet of flavor. The chef has a fine sensitivity to combining flavors. Mainly, what was very disappointing about the restaurant was the length of time it took to get served each course. Although we arrived at 7:05pm, and only 2 other tables were in service (of around 15), we were not ultimately served our main dish until about 8::40pm (the waiter apologized) and finally at about 9:45pm, as our 3-course dinner was heading to the 3-hour mark, tired of still waiting to pay the bill, just as we had waited lengthily for every course (no coffee), we went to the counter to pay, directly and left not far from 10pm. A 3-course meal (no wine, coffee or after-dinner drink) should not have to take nearly 3 hrs. By the time we left, there were more diners. But we were one of the earliest to arrive. So, while the food on the whole was good, be aware that waiting and waiting to receive each course may occur.
